This is not true either. I don't agree with the statement, "He didn't leave because he couldnt get along. He left because he became a free agent." and my previous post points to this. He asked to be traded. He flipped off Pete Carrol on National Television. He solicited other teams to trade for him publically. None of that supports the idea that he got along with Carrol. He left once he was a free and clear free agent but he wanted out of Seattle long before that.

Doesn't sound to me like it was a Clash between a few players. Sounds like a majority of 55 players voted him off so that's not a few. That's a lot of guys.
You are speculating on Baltimore. Where was it written the entire team voted him off? What was the final vote tally? 55-0? You are just speculating and using a bias. For all anyone knows it was 5 captains and 3 wanted him gone and 2 wanted him to stay. See I can speculate just like you can.

He asked to be traded after Seattle made it clear to him they had no intentions of giving him another contract. Asking to be traded in this scenario is not personal against Pete carroll. Its about the money. Just as it was for Seattle. If he was this awful they would have traded him to us for that 2nd round pick we offered.

Here are some news reports about the problems with ET in Baltimore regarding it being more than a “bad fit”.
Multiple reports indicate he missed meetings and his dedication was questioned by his teammates. If anyone wants to sign him, fine, I just want it known that he has been released in Balt for more than one problem. Here are a couple of articles on this:

https://thespun.com/nfl/afc-north/b...erging-from-earl-thomas-problems-in-baltimore

https://baltimore.cbslocal.com/2020...rsonal-conduct-that-negatively-affected-team/
Oh just because a player had some personal issues and missed a couple meetings (speculation) then that means he couldn't have been a clash of personalities with a few of his teammates?
The universe isnt only black or white. Suddenly ET is Antonio Brown I guess. When are you going to speculate about the sexual harrassment claims his maids are making about him?

No, I am not. It was reported that the team voted him off. As to the rest, nice try but no. I never said 55-0. Show me where that is written. Go back and reread so that you understand what was said. Do not try and frame my words to suit your purpose. Be honest about what was said. The report didn't say team leaders. It said team vote.

The Seattle statement is not accurate either. He asked to be traded before he was an FA. Seattle tried to resign him after his contract was up, they made him an offer so what you say above is clearly not true. Flipping Carrol off on National TV, what's that, the unltimate "I Love You Man" statement?

I don't know what you are talking about with the "awful" thing. I never made any comments about his abilities. I just set the record straight. Take that discussion back to whomever made it.

You'd have to be clueless to think that.

The single dumbest thing I've read from this fan base is this Jerry doesn't run the team fantasy. It's merely a defense mechanism to shield themselves from a truth they don't want to accept.

His son is a secretary. McClay is a gofer. Absolutely nothing gets done in the organization without the approval of Jerry Jones.
No doubt that Jerry is the boss. However, wouldn’t it be nice to know that the Mike M. and Stephen could have an opinion on this!

all very fair points to question....i think the old adtage of where there is smoke there is fire is appropriate here....he is worth signing only if the contract is setup in a way that protects dallas and incentivizes him to work hard and play hard....otherwise pass based on likelihood that some of the speculation you are addressing is actually somewhat true.

It's only labeled as "speculation " because it says something that some fans don't want to hear. Therefore, they shoot the messenger.

It seems like just the other day people wanted to give up a first and a third for this turd and make him the highest paid safety in the league. It is clear that the dude wants the retirement package and a soft landing. He should only be brought in with the help of a time machine.

I can't imagine anyone who has read the recent articles about ET would actually still want him in Dallas.

A locker room cancer, almost universally hated by his teammates. Shows up late, sometimes not at all. Does not prepare, blows assignments, and then blames teammates. He is older, with an injury history, with declining skills. The Ravens couldn't even get a 7th rounder for him. Who knows more about him today than the Ravens? They couldn't wait to get rid of him.

Jerry was quiet upset when Rapoport said the cowboys were not interested in ET. Jerry says the man standing right here hasn't determined that, meaning himself. lol

Good!!!

Last time I checked the 90s Cowboys were more Earl Thomas than "we like our guys approach"...

McCarthy is just be diligen taking tallies from Defense staff and letting Rob Davis do his job.

This signing is No Brainer

Your words:

"Sounds like a majority of 55 players voted him off so that's not a few. That's a lot of guys.".

So you know how many guys voted him off? You have no clue how many (if any) even got a vote. Yet you come here and make a statement that the majority of the 55 players voted him off.
You get called on it and now you want to run from it.

Yes. Let's be honest with that was said.

Wait...they made him an offer? Hmm... sounds like he must have really been a cancer in Seattle. Teams always offer extensions to cancers.

You have nothing.

Truth. WHen John Harbaugh is done with a guy, that’s a red flag.

Your words:

"Sounds like a majority of 55 players voted him off so that's not a few. That's a lot of guys.".

Right. 55 guys on a team, that's how many players an NFL team can carry, if I am not mistaken. The "Majority" of them voted him off, which is more then a few "Team Captains" as you contend. What does the word Majority mean?

The greater number. That's literally the meaning of the word. So what is that number to you? A minimum of 27 correct? See how easy that is? Stop looking for shadows and use your head. What I am telling you is what has been reported. That's it.

So, do you dispute what was reported? What was reported was that the team voted him off. If that is your dispute, then take it up with the reporting, not me. What I am telling you is what was reported. If you don't like that, sucks to be you. As I said, the report said the team voted and he was voted off. That would mean that at least 27 voted to cut him. Run with that.

Wait...they made him an offer? Hmm... sounds like he must have really been a cancer in Seattle. Teams always offer extensions to cancers.

I don't know if he was a cancer or not. As I said before, I never commented on any of that. See, that's your problem here. You are looking for a fight. You better hope you don't find one because you pretty much suck at this.

You would like to think I am. However I am not speculating that anyone in the organization wants ET. You are speculating which guys want him and which guys don't and now are creating your own little melodrama with all of your speculation.

My only point is we have garbage at Safety with a questionable secondary and ET would be a significant upgrade for this year. Not speculation. Projection.
Jerry said that he is still considering ET...that's not speculation. its directly from horses mouth....speculate all you want about what I am speculating...I guess you like jerry and feel you have to defend him

Sure sounds that way.

Jerry wants one thing and everyone else wants something else.

And now he’s going into salesman mode.
Agree. I wonder though how much influence Stephon has as far as letting his dad know not to go crazy and over spend/trade for ET?

Oh now you own the stupid 55 comment. Progress
Now show me where this was reported. I don't see anything that says how many players voted. What about the rookies and extra camp bodies. Did they vote also in your fantasy land?

Oh no a player got in a fight at camp.
So awful. I can't believe that actually happened.
