Did Earl kill 5 grandmas, or something?

Get it done.

If Mike can’t keep a lasso on him, then he probably shouldn’t be our coach...
narcissists aren't so easily dealt with. when their behavior becomes violent, they're really out of control.

If this ever goes down, it probably will look a lot like Griffin. It will come out of nowhere. I have felt all along it would happen but I’m not so sure now. None of it makes much sense from our perspective so there must be much more going on that we don’t know. They could be working on a trade for someone else, he could be wanting a big money long term deal, his off the field issues could be way more than we realize, he could have burnt the bridge somehow in Dallas when he signed with the Ravens and we don’t know it, or any number of other things could be going on.

If I had to bet, it would be on Thomas' contract demands still being too high. I don't think it's truly sunken in for him just how much damage he's done to his reputation, career, and asking price.

That would be my first guess as well. I can’t imagine given their situation at safety and past interest that they wouldn’t love to add him. They just aren’t going to pay him like Baltimore did.

Totally agree... hope Dallas is able to snag him super cheap once he comes to grips with reality

If that's still the case, Jerry needs to recognize that and steer clear.

The team is going to suffer, but you cant ignore the position for a decade plus, screw up the cheap vets you use to plug the spots, and expect to not feel it om the field.

They couldnt have counted on Thomas being out there anyway.

If nothing else I'd bring in Randall for veteran depth. Maybe catch lightning in a bottle.

IMO that's more likely than Thompson having become a starting caliber player overnight, without having played a game. Based on practice.

I'm not sure if or when that will happen. If they're actually still interested, it looks like the Cowboys are willing to wait until after week one.

Nobody is going to pay him like Baltimore did. Ever again. They've seen what a disaster that was, on and off the field.

Yeah, feeling pretty uneasy about the safety positions

yeah I thought that all along too, waiting till after week one with no guarantees and a incentive laiden contract are a good way to keep him in line as much as possible

I'd say a very big part of them looking to get out of the contract was realizing what a mistake it was.

I was STUNNED at that deal.

If he was signed to a more reasonable deal, and/or didnt drop off on the field at least a little, I bet they would have found a way to forgive the incident.

Let's say Lamar Jackson pulled the same thing. He would have been forgiven.

At any rate we are about to find out exactly how badly Thomas wants to come "home."

I'd guess its only if he can get paid also.

Still doesnt mean he wont expect or demand bonus money or a multi year deal.

He doesnt HAVE to sign a one year deal w no bonus just because week one went by.

ET might be learning that his contract demands need to be incentive-laden if he wants a spot here.
