I thought I’d put this out there to use as an archive of sorts when people start calling for everyone to be fired or cut/traded Sunday night.

IF the game doesn’t go our way and it looks like a repeat of Chiefs/Texans will you say McCarthy was a drastic mistake or they should let Dalton start?

I think this is an outside possibility based off two factors:

1) Offense could struggle without Collins/Frederick and who knows how good Cooper’s health actually is.

2) Defense WILL have confusion against some of McVays schemes and doing more elaborate blitzes that leave vulnerable spots in the secondary. It’s going to take half the year to get it shored up since the team was so basic for last 7 years defensively since Rob Ryan left.

I’m on record that no matter what happens this year McCarthy and staff should not be held accountable for on field performance as long as team is improving throughout the year. This is not Madden and unless the Eagles health is totally diminished it’s going to be very hard to take the East from them this year.

You can’t plug in 4 new starters on offense, 5 on defense and new schemes and expect it to be a finished unit day 1. Goff, Ryan and Wilson are not the 3 QBs you’d want to see out of the gate

As long as they beat teams like Giants and the Football Team soundly who are in the same position, and show the ability to make adjustments throughout the year as they learn what doesn’t work, it’ll be fine for me.

That said I expect a close loss on Sunday but wouldn’t be shocked by anything either direction. Unless the defense pitches a shutout and has 3 picks.
You would seriously come to this conclusion after 1 game? That's so shallow, I don't know what to say. At least give McC a few games to implement what he's going to do, hey?

What if he has no time to throw and he doesn’t have Cooper? Gallup is not a true #1 and Lamb has never played an NFL game yet.
Doesn't matter he should be able to screen teams to death with Zeke and Pollard. He has Jarwin too. I'm sick and tired of people making excuses for Dak.

If Dak struggles in this offense he needs to go. You can’t want what he’s asking for and not put up pro bowl numbers this year.
I totally agree! Dak is under Jerry's microscope this season and every performance will be looked at very closely.
Jerry wasn't fooled by Daks 5k yards passing because he realized he wasn't beating any decent teams.

I think if this happens it will because of the defense. We have a lot of new faces on the defense coupled with a new coaching staff/system. I get that our Oline is a little shaky right now, but I believe with the running game they can hold it together.

"What will your reaction be if team loses 31-14?"

Have you seen all the reaction videos of the Philly fans when we selected Lamb? I'm going to react something like that.

So many off the wall ridiculous comments and analysis in there Im not sure even how to begin.

All I can tell you is that its like everything else. Depends on why we lost and what went wrong, not simply the fact that we got smoked.

Personally I think the Cowboys win this game. Only big concern for me would be if the Oline simply couldn't block and there were big sacks and turnovers. And or the secondary simply got torched on top of it.

Coaching staff needs to be aggressive early and get a lead. Then let the pass rush tee off in the 2nd half and use a more diverse run game to keep their offense off the field in the 2nd half.

Don’t care. Mahomes was still putting up video game numbers when His #1 option was injured, his first string running back suspended, and Sammy Watkins going AWOL.

Same with Wilson who routinely has a poor receiving corps.

I’m not saying Dak should put up 3TDs a game but there is no reason a cowboys led offense shouldn’t score at least an 21 points a game.
They scored 27 per game last year and that was with little help at all from the defense in regards to field position and turnovers.

Anyone that watches Mahomes and thinks that normal QB play doesn't understand QB play.

Mahomes basically has a top 2 offensive mind in the NFL, top 3 Oline, and the #1 weapons in football.

Put Mahomes on a Garrett coached team with a mediocre line and a WR by committee scrub crew and he doesn't play like Mahomes every day.

I’d be pissed off just like any other loss. But honestly it comes down to how they look. The Rams could just outclass us on talent, who knows.

Is it a better team THIS week?

No Byron
No La’El
No Frederick
Cooper - 50-50

Additions:
Jarwin more playing time over Witten
Lamb and Cobb are at best a wash until Lamb actually plays an NFL game
Griffin probably a bit of an upgrade over Quinn overall
Crawford hopefully better than Maliek at the 3T
Poe gives a much better 1T against the run but how much will he play in passing downs?

You forgot the most important player. Aldon Smith is going to do some serious damage to that Oline.
