Jimmy nailed it! Dak needs everything around him perfect. It has to be a one or two read offense. Dak cannot just drop back and survey the field.
Jimmy Johnson just explained that Jerry Jones can't coach. Jimmy did not ask Troy Aikman to throw the ball all over the field. Johnson managed Troy like he managed Testerverde. Cowboys coaching has been awful from 1994-2002, and 2007-present. No Cowboys QB was really successful in those years.

Dak looks nothing like Testaverde. Dak is much more mobile, he doesn't throw side arm passes like Mahomes I get that but I just don't see the comparison.

He wasnt talking about being mobile. He was saying they are the same as they cant read the field and make plays when the 1st or 2nd option isnt there. Needs a simple read and throw offense.

And really Dak isnt that mobile. He is a good runner when he decides to run. But I think Dak's pocket awareness is pretty weak & his ability to scramble for more time to then make the throw isn't that great.

End of Troy's career? Does that mean from 1996 - 2000??? Those 5 years sure seem like a lot of "end of his career" years. Then again, moving the goal posts and making excuses from the Dak haters is the norm around here.
was it moving the goal post closer when people were acting like dak was still a rookie in his third, fourth years >.> :) so lets see:

96: we were 10-6 and won a playoff game.
97: 6-10,
98: 10-6 and lost a playoff game
99: 8-8
00: 5-11

so from 91 through 98 Aikman only had 1 losing season. So would 99 and 2000 be enough for you as his end of his career? One losing season in the three year span of 96 to 98 isn't so bad. But even if you want to shorten Troy's end of his career, he didn't have a have a real number 2 wideout from 96 to 00 and still managed to have two 10-6 seasons. And you want to compare Dak with a fully loaded offense to Troy with only one good wideout and call that fair and somehow try to elevate Dak to Troy's level. XD

No I am middle of the road and don't perpetuate lies. I am objective unlike a lot of Dak haters. I like Wilson better but I don't hate Dak. When he sucks I say he sucks, when he is good I say he is good. I don't say he is bad ALL the time which is sort of the ilk you seem to be.
I was hoping Dak shows up and makes a difference in a game we need the QB to step up. I don't hate anyone sir. i just hate the constant losing that is occuring with dak at the helm . I know the defense is an issue. But dak simply cannot seem to be a difference maker. Plus, he wants 40 mil + . Do you see the predicament here , or are you fine with all these losses whenever we face decent teams. many people are trying to discuss anyting but the Dak issue. I am pretty sure you will also see why if the cowboys had picked brady or cam to start this season , i feel they would have done better than dak, and much much cheaper on the cap to fix the defense. . I hope Dak proves me wrong this year. You just watch , his weaknesses are hard to overcome .

Compare Troy's first 4 years, statistically as a passer, to Dak's first 4 years. Dak smokes him out of the water.

Comparing two eras of football, where Dak would've had lesser statistics as a passer if he had played in the 90's than he has now, or any quarterback now would have lesser statistics if they would've played in that era. And then you claim to have football smarts and act like the rest of us shouldn't have an opinion because we didn't play the game.

What's the difference for QBs between both eras? Please enlighten us all.

For one it is a lot easier now to make a completion versus the 90's because defenses have been neutered. Quite simply the Rules of the game have been changed. This is how it was in Aikman's era:

Now defenses can barely touch receivers, so receivers make a lot more completions versus back them.

Hey, Jimmy, how did your #1 overall picked QB Troy Aikman look after the Great Wall of Dallas fell apart once a salary cap was put in motion during the mid 90s and key Olinemen left to other teams for more money?

ANSWER: AIKMAN SUCKED!!!

Aikman needed a precise Offense as well! If you're criticizing Dak, you are pretty much criticizing Troy as well.

PS: Jimmy praises Kosar as a QB type who could improve the play of lesser talent around him. Well, what did Bernie Kosar ever win? How many Super Bowls did he reach or win? Pfft!
Pathetic just pathetic, your hate is consuming you. You are becoming a joke.

By Dak-stans logic, he’s better than Elway, let alone Aikman, what to say of Romo. They’ve gone completely off the deep end.

:laugh::lmao::lmao2:

Is that all you've got?

You've got nothing. Just making excuses.
