We have seen him deteriorate over the last few years always being injured. Not necessarily out of games but always dinged up and questionable. What a brilliant move for this front office to restructure his contract that will see dead money on it over the years on a player deteriorating.

you can thank Stephen Jones for that

Its crazy how we went from position of strength and locking all the linemen up to long contracts and bam. Fredrick gets a very weird injury and retires. Bam Smith having neck and back issues. Collins sign's a long term contract and then gets injured and doesn't even play a down this season out for the season most likely.

Only man left is Martin.
What was once a dominate O-line is a position of weakness now.

Windows are finicky things. You have to take advantage of them.

So what you’re saying is he’s done. But they’ll drag it out 4 more weeks

We need to do everything we can to unload some of these bad contracts and bring on the youth movement. Even players like Coop and Zeke.

The oline is done, and the defense is done.

May as well start building again. Before yall roast me and say it can't be done look at all the bs Philly got out of post Chip Kelly or the Cards moving David Johnson.

Oh yeah, here it is again. One injury and the season is over. You need to stop this nonsense you sound like a child who had their toy taken away. He didnt play against Atlanta or Seattle. The offense was just fine.
First of all, It was made to be a joke. Also, Out of everyone saying the EXACT same thing (rebuild, tank and get a top pick), you pick me. Am I your target? You’re going on ignore at this point. Get over yourself and leave me alone. Last year, when Dak was missing La’el and Tyron, and his two WR’s, you have him an excuse to lose to the Jets.

Dak is now going to be missing his two right tackles, and he has a way worse defense than he did last year, but “the offense is fine and you need to get over it”. Just stop.

Almost as 'shrewd' as restructuring Mr. 'No Sacks' Lawrence's contract, further locking themselves into that mess.

I remember that.

Bill Callahan was the offensive line coach. One of the best.

Anyone know whose offensive line steamrolled us last Sunday for 307 yards rushing?

Thanks again Jason Garrett!

2015 was the last time Tyron played in 16 games. Offensive linemen are supposed to be eternal but after 10 seasons it appears the end is near.

Tyron probably watched this defense play last week and heard X. Woods’ comment and thought:

“What the hell am I out here hurting myself for a team that ain’t even gonna try?”

Rest up, Tyron. Looks like we’ll tank with this defense anyways.
100 percent agree

He made first team all decade at the beginning of the summer so that's enough to get into Canton considering he plays a premier position

If he has to miss the entire season because his neck is that messed up he probably just calls it a career and retires. There's really no point in trying to fight back, especially when this team looks like it's going to take a couple years to rebuild especially on the defensive side

If his neck is bad I think he pulls a Frederick and says goodbye

It's not like we shouldn't have seen this coming.

He gave us about 5 years of playing every game and usually playing 100% of the snaps. Great. But then he gave us 4 straight seasons of missing between 20-30% of our season each year. And he's coming up on 30 years old, so obviously it was only going to get worse as he ages and the injuries accumulate more and more. It was just a matter of "well, is he gonna start missing 50% of each season 75%? What?"

Him only turning 30 this season doesn't *sound* old, but when you look at him missing time every season like clockwork for 4 straight years heading into this year? And when you consider he was only 20 years old when he debuted for us, it means he's been around a long time and there's less tread on his tires than on most guys his age. Most guys turning 30 weren't starting in the NFL before they could legally drink alcohol. He's got more wear and tear than most.
