Yes.. This is a very simple way at looking at this and that’s not how someone like me looks at it..

I think most fans think... Zeke good pay Zeke..

Dak good pay Dak..

Defense bad fix defense..

But there are so many dynamics to all of this and we are putting all of our money in one area and wondering why the other area sucks.

Paying runningbacks is just stupid imo.

Paying QBs, even the truly elite guys, is not equaling success..

The Cowboys best chance going forward is to get rid of some of these guys IMO and hopefully get something for them in a trade but just getting cap space would allow us to rebuild this team.
We already paid Zeke. We are actually playing a season right now. Our issues are not on offense. Not saying that the offense is perfect but
2 fumbles, a safety and 3 easy dropped passes aren’t a large part of why we are losing these close games? 2.6 ypc? I strongly disagree.
No its not a large part of why we are losing games. Anyone that watches the game can see that.

Agree with you regarding paying running backs, but I think you're offbase about paying QBs.

QBs get paid retail. End of story. You don't have to like it but it's reality of the market conditions.

People complain about the cost of homes in the Bay Area, but the housing market exists because people are willing to pay to live here. Likewise, someone will be willing to shell out record cash for Dak if he hits the market.
Good, then let that team be the fool.
I don't think Dak is "elite," but I do think he's very good and good enough to win with.
5 years and waiting. I was willing to roll with Dak until last years horrible loss to Philly with everything on the line, then turning down a generous offer in the offseason and holding out for elite QB money when he's not an elite QB? Now the team starting out 1-3 this season? No thanks.
What's the alternative? Who is hitting the open market that's viable? You wanna draft a rookie QB and have the team wait another 2-3 years to even figure out if he's the guy?
Yes, to drafting a rookie, franchise, QB. Time to blow up this current, underachieving, Cowboy's team and start a new chapter.
The offense is feasting against teams with a big lead..

That is when they do their work..

We’ve barely had a lead this year and you can blame the defense but the offense constantly starts slow and not very often do we see our offense come out and set the tone.. A lot of the time they start the chaos and we call them heroes at the end of it.

Sorry if repost..

I agree with his opinions.. I was anti pay Zeke... I am anti pay Dak.. I know some of you love this brand of football we play though.

10:30 mark he speaks about Zeke.. 17:00 minute mark he speaks about Dak.

I think the biggest win for Dallas this season would to be really really bad.. Like worst team in the league bad. By 2022 we would have a real chance again.

We’re about to be locked into mediocrity though. We’ll be the Houston Texans of the north.

He didn't say anything we don't already know. Zeke is overpaid by the Arkansas plunger and Dak isn't Elite, nor is he worth whatever money Jerry will end up paying him.
1-15 would be a good start towards a rebuild.

Defense gave up 49 points against the Browns and offense scored 38 despite the team now being down multiple key offensive linemen making the former strength of the team the weakness. I am even going to entertain the notion that somehow the banged up unit that scored 38 is somehow the unit at fault versus the unit that gave up 39.

Im a Dak and Zeke fan and what this guy says makes sense. We got good late in the Romo yes when we invested in the Oline. At some point skilled players want to get paid and that’s when you have to make smart decisions. We threw money at Zeke snd then Jaylon and those are both bad contracts. Overall you can scheme a good O. Our D needs smart investing and not plugging in old vets and leaky DBs and Ss.

Im not a Dalton guy.. I just think we can get Dak like results with him.. Sitting here at 1-3 and 6 wins in our last 17 games I don’t feel like I’m wrong.

Dak Prescott just isn’t a difference maker and he wants a lot of money to not be a impact player.

You don't belong in a football conversation.

People are obsessed with the box score at the end of these games and applaud the offense but there is a lot of context being left out..

I mean we had 14 points through 3 quarters last week..

The offense is not that good.. It should be and I know the end result numbers are great but it’s been a mess as well.
hmmmm...I disagree but you bring up a decent point. I’d like to say time will tell but our next few games are against the NFCleast so I won’t put much stock into any of them unless we lose in which case this tram is worse than I could have ever imagined.

Giving away 7 points to the other team in two different games, one which we barely won and should have lost and the other to a team we lost to by 7 could have been the difference had zeke not fumbled and we ended up getting 7 points, or even 3, instead of giving the other team 7.

That’s a 14 point swing, so yeah, it’s a large part of why we lost. Slipping in the end zone, giving the other team 2 points and good field position is another big reason why we lost.

I was very anti pay Zeke and still upset about it. I was anti pay Dak but I think he is proving his value tight now. I am now on team sign Dak.

Dak is cleaning up when games are out of hand..

He beat up on bad teams last year as well.

When do we start winning with him? We do we see him being a difference maker in games?

Everything has to be optimal it seems. Nothing is his fault but when are we winning games because of our elite QB play.

For the money he wants he can go play somewhere else as far as I’m concerned. He will send us into 3-4 years of mediocre football and doesn’t impact results in games enough to warrant that money.

This offense would be fine without Zeke and Amari Cooper, Dak not so much.

The worse part is not only do they lack talent on defense, but the offensive line is starting to fall apart as well.

I was on you're side until season m I know exactly what you're saying. I just think finding what Dak is doing right now is rare and hard to find. This team sucks. This defense is absolutely awful. Not Daks fault

Lol. Yeah the number 1 offense in the NFL would be fine without the two players defenses key on. Only a Cowboys Zone poster would say something that stupid. At least you realize how important Dak is I guess. I hope you do realize Dak stats did not improve until Cooper came over from the Raiders.

I ask the question would Bill Belichick pay a running back big money or Dak Prescott $40 million?

The answer is a hard NO.

No we don’t ignore bad moves just because we already made the bad move.. We shine a light on it.

If we sign Dak to that awful deal we don’t ignore the awful deal.. We need to learn from mistakes because as good as Romo was for some reason we didn’t learn from signing him to that deal.

We also didn’t learn from signing Dez and overpaying him, right?
