Three big injuries yesterday:

1 - the heartbreaking injury to Dak Prescott

2 - the knee injury of Trysten Hill

3 - the typing hand injury to all the posters saying Jaylon Smith sucks. They all left the field in the second quarter.

Smith was all over the field with 14 tackles and 1.5 sacks. He has the talent if he isn't trying to cover for blown assignments by other players. And he will be even better when LVE is back and covering a big section of turf.

One thing that stuck out to me in DLaw’s post game interview was when he was asked if the defense communicated better with Nolan on the sideline, DLaw responded by saying yes the communication between the DC and their middle linebacker was better. Was he passing the buck?

Dlaw had a good game as well. Of course, you have to give credit to the Giant's tackles.

I hope we get the 2018 version of LVE and not the 2019 or the 2020 version we saw in the opener.

I think he is stating the obvious. Its a new defense and normally they would need a full preseason to get all the adjustments down so the player making the calls on the field has less to do at the line. The first few games were the actual preseason and it showed. Now they have had a little time to settle in, the improvement was pretty obvious when you look at all the blown coverages against the Falcons and compare that to this game.

They finally used Jaylon like the Packers used Clay Mathews. I always thought Jaylon would excellent in that role.

I've been one of his harshest critics, but I also gave him credit yesterday. That said, he and Tank were going up against the worst offense in the NFL and a team that even when healthy is woefully devoid of talent. If Jaylon and Tank actually show up in games against talented teams, I will feel a lot better.

I really feel bad for Hill though. He has really flashed this season. Here's hoping he keeps the switched flipped when he gets back next year.

I hope this defense keeps improving. But I’d love to get a playmaker in the secondary to pair up with Diggs

Also this thread scared me lol, I know Blake Bell got hurt and came back, but I read the title and was worried he was out for a few weeks. I’ve been enjoying watching Blake Bell play

its funny, after he has a horrible game people type that he sucks, but when he has a good game the other people like you type that he is good or mocks the others or both

Id like to see some typing cajones where someone says he sucks even after he plays well or that he is good even after he plays poorly

now that would be an interesting post

Agree on Hill. But the Giants had a similar stat line last week against the Rams, they put up 295 yards of offense that week and 300 this week. The Giants only had two drives over 43 yards, 14 of their points were the fluky Pick Six and a 17 yard drive after a fumble.

I've said all season he doesn't suck and the biggest issue was the defense having to learn the new scheme without a preseason.
