We are a hot mess with Dakota

I'm walking away NOW....I'll start over with someone else

We wouldn’t have been had we not paid Dlaw (because we didn’t have a choice), every Olineman that has walked in the door (JG’s fault), Jaylon (way too damn early), and Coop, and Zeke.

Dak should have some solid options. Its up to the Cowboys to determine if they want to retain him or lose yet another key part of their team for nothing. They lost Byron for nothing......lost Hitchens for nothing....lost Quinn for nothing....will Dak be the next?

Dak and his agent gambled and ya let GREED make the call....they lost.
No way the Cowboys can afford the Tag if they want any chance to build up the defense and not lose additional talented players to the Fa market.
Dak played his last game as a Cowboy yesterday.

Yeah.. no he didn’t

Why not wait and see how well Dalton plays? maybe Dak is too expensive. We will never win if we do not get the d fixed...Dalton might be a better alternative...

Being politically correct is dominating many decisions, due to endowments and public support . The optimal and professional decision should be that If dalton plays well enough , which he did yesterday by the way , Jerry should not tie up so much cap space with Dak . Let Dak check the market and make sure he is healed well then make him a 30 mil offer or let him test the market . This team has so many pressing needs on Defense and OL , plus so many overpaid overrated players to sort out . A super bowl is resched vis stout defense . Not fantasy yards .

You can’t lose him for nothing.

Fact is. They have to at least tag him so he can be traded.

some team will give up a pick for him...... if he is healthy and passes physicals

Why tag him at all? Let him hit the market and Jerry can match if he likes or not.
Dak has been well compensated for his time here. If he wants to hold to $37M then let him find it somewhere else. Hint: he won't come close to $30M on the market. He will lose all his Dallas endorsements which are around $7-10M if he leaves.

Dak gambled and lost. It is his own fault.

If the team wins without him, why would you sign him for $30M+?
It will be interesting to see how this pays out.
It is all about business and wins and money.
Paying Dak $30M+ would not allow the team to field a competitive team on defense. Who wants to watch the defense giving up points while the offense is turning the ball over. No one.

Keep emotions out of it. Right now it looks like Dak needs Dallas more than Dallas needs Dak. Wins, playoffs, and super bowls are the goal. Not one player.

Indianapolis has Rivers on just a 1 year deal. They are just over 100 million for cap next year. Plenty of cap space. They'd take Dak for 30 million in a heart beat.

It’s going to be tough to sign Dak with the salary cap mess Jerry generated once again. Dak should have been signed two years ago.

There is a lot football left , I’m going to try to enjoy it, but as far as Dak and the salary cap, that’s a long ways away...

Bro what y’all are so goofy. Ryan Tannehill got 30M but Dak wouldn’t get that? Make it make sense

No wonder all these players are about “paying Dak”, because it looks like the salaries for all players are going down, the way the NFL owners is set on trying to lower the cap.

This year that 15th best QB contract is Alex Smith at 20.3 Million. He gets that easy.

That catch tho. . . he will always be a foot note in Cowboys History
