That is assuming the cap goes up. Me being a cowboys fan is the only reason I am still watching. I don't even watch other games, and I used to watch every game I could. The nfl needs to quit with all the views they are pushing, and play football. It is bad enough they have pushed high scoring games by handicapping the defenses, and all the rule changes, but all the social pushing, fashion show pageantry, and other crap is going to lower ratings, and lower the cap

Good grief...

Just stop watching football and go full bore mainlining Fox and Friends and Hannity.

The NFL is going no where because of “social views they are pushing”, whatever the hell that means. Maybe you think NFL players are sons of ******* too like a current high profile American. The biggest threat to the NFL is concussion research and the impact that will have on high school football participation and even that isn’t going to come close to submarining the league.

Social views...

Gtfoh...

LOL!!

You doubling down on that stupid take?

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!

Remind me again...

What were the scores of those other games versus last night’s game?

After revisiting that, then explain why this take of yours is stupid lmao
Lmk when the cowboys get a super bowl trophy for scoring the most points but getting no wins....

Lmk when losing 38-10 is the same as losing games that come down to the wire.

I know, I know..

It requires complicated first grade math but I have faith you can muddle your way through this!!

No question the chasm between Dak and Dalton

Easy.. you sign Dak to a 10 year deal at 50 million a year.. give him a 100 million dollar bonus.. spread the bonus out over the 10 years and make his salary start at 1 million in 2021 and escalate from there. That would make his cap hit 11 million next year.. and say 15 million in 2022 and then 20 million in 2023.. and so on. Then in 5 years when the cap is close to 300 million you start to let his cap his cap hit creep up to 40 million and it will be a HUGE bargain by then. And also by the most of the guaranteed money will have been paid and if Dak has not performed you can get out from under the deal for relative peanuts.

Any questions?

Several. Dak did not want to sign a 5 year deal and now he will sign a 10 year deal? Not saying his injury has not changed his perspective. It would have changed mine. Also, the cap is going to contract at least for next year if not the next couple of years. This is make it even harder to manage a cap with less total cap space. Not saying it cannot or will not be done.....really not sure the Jones boys can manage it.....

People talking about Dak’s pocket presence can’t be happy with Dalton’s. Dude takes the snap and just sits there, no stepping up in the pocket. It seemed like he didn’t recognize some of the blitzed either. He’s also a lot slower than Dak so he can’t get yards down the field.

Bahahahahahahahahahaha!!

you think last nights game was the same as the preceding five games!!

bwahahahahahahahahaha!!

And you’re dying on this hill because you know you look stupid but won’t admit it!!

bahahahahahahahahahahahaha!

It’s like you’re a samurai trained in the art of stupidity and you’re going to commit hari kari rather than admit you’re wrong!

It’s SO entertaining!!

Wasn't it reported he turned down a deal with over ONE HUNDRED MILLION GUARANTEED?

100 million guaranteed spread out over 5 years is one thing. 100 million in my hand the second I sign the contract is a whole nother story. Again I don't want to have to conduct an Economics seminar here to explain present value dollars to people but getting money in my bank account right now is waaaaaay better than you promising to put money in my bank account over the next X number of years. That's why despite the fact that they make tons of interest on mortgages, banks are more than happy to take cash for a house. $500,000 cash right now is actually better than the 1.5 million they would collect over the 30 year life of the note. Well with interest rates as low as they are it would be more like 1.0 to 1.1 million.. but I hope you get the point.

LOL

Dak wouldn't even take a five year deal because he wanted to be able to cash in again.

I don't want to try and educate you on the economics of taking a short term deal with roughly a hundred million guaranteed then negotiate yet another deal in five years which would presumably net him yet another, even larger guaranteed amount.

Your scenario of a hundred and fifty million over ten years ends up less than negotiating two deals over that same ten year period.

You're leaving out a very important aspect of economics in you dissertation on economics.

Umm.. read again.. I said "sign Dak to a 10 year deal at 50 million per." If you're going to argue at least argue what I said versus what you want to believe .. If Dak pockets 100 million dollars the day of signing then close to another 100 million over the next 5 years in salary he is straight WINNING. How much more "cashing in" does one need to do? Then at the 5 year mark after all the guarantees are done they can sit down and redo the contract .. They can give him a raise if he is still ballin (yeah a raise from 50 million a year) .. or they can cut ties if he's not. Either way, Dak makes close to 200 million over the next 5 years and there is ZERO reason for him to be wanting a short term deal. In fact if the cap DOES drop the next couple of years the short term deal would be his worst move because the bucket will have shrunk on him while he was playing out that deal.

It’s pretty clear that having 100 million today is far better than having 100 million in five years.

I don’t see how this is even controversial. Jesus..

Bobby Bonilla contracts notwithstanding lol

Yep, good plan. Because it's worked so well for us in the past right? We are in this mess because of people crying for players to get paid.

We need a "shakes head" emoji....
whose your QB then?
because we can't win without one.

Can you tell us how stupid you feel right now?

Let me help you out.

If Dalton was the starter in the preceding three games we likely get blown the **** out every game just like this game. Yet all of those games came down to the wire because Dak was slinging the ball in epic fashion. Yet in the post game thread you were blaming Dak for those losses and said he padded stats against prevent defenses. In fact, you said we would be a better team with Dalton because he’s a better quarterback LOL.

So given your ridiculously imbecilic hypothesis that what Dak was doing any QB could do, would you kindly stop offering your unqualified and overly reductionist and simplistic football opinions and instead just tell us how incredibly stupid you feel right now?

THANKS!!
I have whomever you are addressing on ignore because they are obviously a goofball but this post is entirely accurate.
Dak had a couple less guys available on D the last few weeks and had Zeke and others fumbling as well.
He fought tooth and nail with pass rush escapability and his own scrambles to move the ball.
It's weird how Dalton couldn't reach 450 yards with all the garbage time right??

Dak is at that near elite level. Top 6-7 guys and the drop off from that to a JAG like Dalton is supreme.
