Pay Dak vs Don't Pay Dak

Or...another thing to consider: Dallas signed Tony Romo to the highest contract of all time. Yet, Dallas had a team sooo loaded with talent that (according to these same people) a "terrible" Dak Prescott could excel in his rookie season in 2016.

How can Dallas sign Tony Romo to the richest contract ever...yet still have the resources to put the "best team ever" around Dak a few short years later?

So why can't Dallas sign Dak Prescott to a franchise QB deal...and still have enough resources to put an elite roster around Dak?

I would love for one of these people to explain that.

I would ask Jerry, the financials and player signing is his mess.

You're one of the prime examples of posters that were so incredibly wrong lmao.
And what does that have to do with the post you quoted? Don't quote me with this IG tea sipper energy. You're a grown man don't quote me with some petty told you so junk that has nothing to do with my post. If you're that starved to be right cool but not with me. Regarding that I already said I was wrong so Ye shrug but you being right got you what exactly?

That debate has been settled very easily, and it didn't take long at all.

If you were on the "Don't pay Dak" side you now look incredibly foolish, and if you were on the other side you have another year of contract negotiations to not look forward to.

This sucks.

If you ever thought Zeke was the "engine behind this offense" well LMAOOOO
Does not matter who the qb is..if this defense does not get fixed,we will continue to stink..do you not understand this?

How has Dak made anyone look like fools? I would think most want Dallas to win a Super Bowl but anytime someone posts anything not pro Dak you people try and insult them, shame them, ridicule them, and cast aspersions simply to defend your unhealthy emotional lust for Dak.
Quit playing the victim. You personally attack as well just like you did once again just now.

WRONG!

Dak is a bonafied franchise Top 5 QB in the league right now. He's in his prime. QBs like Dak don't grow on trees.

A rookie QB would take 2-3 years to mature and learn the game at the NFL level. By that time, most of the team would be "over the hill" and definitely rebuilding.
This team is done, and Dak is not even maybe Top Ten..... Get over it. It'll take longer than 2-3 yrs to build this defense. Why pay for an overrated QB?

So you give up your sure fire good QB and risk getting another Mayfield/Manziel/Leaf? That’s such a great decision on so many levels. Bravo.

So you overpay for a QB who can't move the team by himself, and have no money left for the actual rest of the team?

Jerry..... Go drink more whiskey

Drink whiskey, eh? Sounds like you’ve been doing that Spaulding or Jerry Jr. or whoever the hell you want to be?? Because you’ve obviously been too drunk to see Dak has proven he can move the team at a top offensive rate. So what have you been watching the last 2 games??? You’re not overpaying him. You think drafting Lawrence and paying him is cheap?

I’m not sure how we can present an argument they can win 2 games. And will that be enough? What are the tiebreakers ?

I can present the argument because horrible teams routinely win 2 or more games.

Not sure on the tie breakers. But since we're in different conferences it will probably jump to either strength of schedule or strength of victory? That's my guess.

I never claimed I have any confidence in JJ or SJ to rebuild this team but they are what they are. As for past records, I am looking at the fact that outside of his rookie record of 13-3 in 2016 Dak has a career record of 29-24. Regardless, ultimately JJ will do what he wants and I have much more important things to worry about like raising a child.

. How is the start of the Andy Dalton era doing for you? LMAO. You will never live that down. And you've lost all credibility on this board because of it.

You understand this has nothing to do with the defense, right? How hard is that to understand?

Not only are the Jets 2 games ahead of us there is the Jags, Cinn, NYG, Atl and Minn all with only 1 win in front of us.

And we already are losing the tiebreaker with Atl and NY. Good news is we have Minn and Cinn left which could lose to them while losing tiebreaker.

Here’s the Jets remaining schedule. Only 2 team left below .500. Pats and Chargers. Doesn’t look favorable they could win 2 or 3 games.

You make an excellent point. And I wouldn't put a dime on my own prediction. But the Jets were up 10-0 on the bills. So they're trying. Upsets happen.

This falls on the GM. Stop whining about Prescott. They had 4 ******** years on a next to nothing rookie salary and all they did was bring in scrubs on the defense. And instead of drafting a DT or safety (Note both positions on our team are historically bad) we draft a WR! After extending another 1st rounder on offense. The O line had 3 high paid contracts, how's that working out?

And some are talking about logic?

I'm assuming your talking about Frederick, Martin and Collins, the last 3 o-line high paid contracts. So how did that work out?

Smith has been to 6 straight Pro Bowls, All Pro in 2014 and 2016.
Martin has been a Pro Bowler every year he's been in the league.
La'el Collins was considered to be a Pro Bowl-level player the last couple of years, didn't get in but he's undoubtedly been getting better the last couple of years.

And Smith is a future HOF'er, 7 straight Pro Bowls and widely recognized as one of, if not the best, OT in the game for most of those years. Only recently have injuries brought him down some, and that was well after his big contract.

The "high paid" o-line contracts aren't the problem, the lack of quality defensive players has been, for years...

I didn’t say it wasn’t possible. Just not likely . It’s entirely possible they have at least 1 upset . 2 is more iffy and 3 in the final 9 games almost impossible. Unless some games are forfeited due to Pandemic.

They certainly do. Because wins don't.
If you don't like it, go follow another team or another sport. Very simple. Jerry and Stephen are not getting rid of Dak, because they know how good Dak is and how important he is to this team.
