QB's on rookie deals are going to and winning Superbowls constantly.

2021 is a wash regardless.. We're going to be bad again next season.

Did you already forget how trash this team was this year with Dak?

Rookie defenders will have almost no impact on the outcomes of games.

Dak will just keep us in the mediocre range.
"Rookie defenders will have almost no impact on the outcomes of games."

In a normal defense, MAYBE. With this defense? Come on now, you CAN'T be serious. If we found a good, not even great, LB or S, that would be a HUGE improvement. Find us a DT that does not get pushed 3 yards out of the way, another HUGE improvement. Find a DE who can rush the passer when all the Free Agent guys we did sign are failing to do so. Another HUGE improvement.

At EVERY level of our defense, it would be EASY to upgrade with a rookie. They may not play great year 1, but if they can play above horse crap, that would be a HUGE improvement.

But hey guys, let MAYBE improve a LITTLE BIT by ignoring LB, S or DLine so we can draft the next QB that we SHOULD replace in 5 years because you can only win is with "QB on rookie deals".
:lmao2:

Micah Parsons changes our entire defense. And hes a linebacker. But sure. Lets get a QB when we have one who was breaking records to start the season lol. I love the "rookie defenders dont affect outcomes of games" Nick Bosa?

I used San Fran as an example and guess who didnt respond? Good old Catch.

Jimmy got paid. Got hurt. Sat a year. They drafted Bosa and where did San Fran finish the season last year? Super Bowl right? God its like common sense doesnt factor in for some people here.

Jimmy G got paid but nobody else on the team was paid.

They also lost to a team with a QB on a rookie deal in the actual Superbowl.

Dallas can't do what the 9ers did because we have too many players on big deals. Signing Dak is just adding to the pile.

When is the last time a team added a linebacker and they were a game changer to the point it made them a title contender?

The only position that has a shot of making that kind of impact is a Dlineman that constantly lives in the backfield. Not some guy getting 130 tackles or whatever.

You need sacks and turnovers.

I find it hilarious that people think by bringing in a a qb who will take three/four years to get to Dak’s level if ever is going to solve the systemic problems with this team. They spend almost zero draft capital bringing in first round defensive talent to this organization, instead try to patchwork it every year and you think a qb will fix it? The best they can hope for is a top 2 draft spot, trade out for three first round picks and maybe another early pick on day two. Draft the best dlineman or corner on your board, sign Dak and stop cheaping out on defensive free agents.

Don't worry guys, the KEY to winning in the NFL is ..... to have as much Cap Space as possible.

That way, you don't need to worry about drafting your own studs, you can sign everyone else's rejects.

It works GREAT in Madden.
:yourock:

Yeah and when it comes to time to pay the studs that have been drafted you let them all walk and start over lol. That’s the OPs strategy.

This to me sounds like the most promising scenario.

The ONLY thing that would makes me pause for consideration is Dak’s injury.

Hey. News flash. Your football knowledge is suspect and has been since your Dalton proclamation. No one here cares about your opinion no matter how hard to beat your chest about it. Dak Prescott is the QB of this team and that isnt changing.

And yes Parsons does make a huge impact because hes 1 a leader, and 2 hes a blue chip talent.

Having a QB on a rookie deal is not the key to winning SBs lmao

this is why some people have little to no credibility. Sadly he has good input on other topics but he's way off on the whole Dak thing. He's not alone though!

The cowboys will not be drafting TL even if they get the number one overall pick.

They will take a different player or they will try to get a good trade down value for someone wanting to jump up to get TL.

I really don't understand people thinking they will take TL. It only sets themselves up for failure.

QB's on rookie deals and vets taking pay cuts are.. LMAO
No they aren’t!!

Having talent is the key to winning SBs and having talent at the hardest and most important position to fill in football, QB, is paramount and we have our guy already.

LOL!, you would gut a roster every four years because you’re cheap and have no sense of what it takes to compile a talented roster while paying important players what they are worth.

By your own logic you would let Lawrence walk to sign a rookie lmao.

BWAHAHAAHAHAHHAHAHA!!

They are currently set up for failure.

If anything Lawrence provides hope and cap space.

The person setting themselves up for failure is those who think Jerry will draft that QB.

Tankathaon has Dallas currently picking 8th with 3 QBs being selected before their pick. There's a lot of season left, but I see no way they even sniff Lawrence. If the Jets get the #1 overall Jerry's first born so won't buy that pick.

Drafting Lawrence is a Jerry move all the way.. I mean.. These are the guys who took a RB top 5.. This move would actually be smart too because this team needs a rebuild. Locking it down with Dak after having no proof that we can be a good post season team with him makes no sense.

Also, the Cowboys have been in no rush to sign Dak.

They clearly don't believe in Dak to the point of just giving him what he contractually wants and have openly said they need a deal that allows them to put the pieces around him required to win.

This is not a Jerry Move at all.
The only time Jerry has drafted a QB in the first was when Jimmy ran the show.

Jerry will stick with Dak.

Just setting yourself up for failure and disappointment no matter how many times you shout from the hill top,.
