Too many holes on OL and Defense to pay Dak

It makes sense when your underlying goal is to get rid of Dak Prescott at any cost. Apparently some people would rather watch the team suck with a QB more to their liking than to have it be competitive with Dak. And heaven forbid it make a deep playoff run with Dak. That would induce mass suicide for the Dak haters. All the more reason to root for it to happen.

The "throwing all that away" was a reference to my quote that we cant afford a 3 year contract, a point that you allude to with your comment about giving Dak a 5 year contract.

If you'd read my posts you'd see i'm totally in favor of a 5 year deal.

We simply have too many holes to pay Dak 35+ mill a year. We need to rebuild our OL and Defense. We might as well rebuild at the QB position as well.

No he's right .. the facts are wrong.. Even though the numbers are different they are identical.. Why can't you see it? Maybe you need to squint and stand on one foot holding a banana peel in front of one eye. You also left out their "identical" career completion percentages.. you know the one where Dalton is 61% and Dak is 66%.. I mean what's the difference there right? That right there clearly shows that Dalton is more accurate than Dak.. you just have to look at it the right way..

To paraphrase Jimmy Johnson 'Dak is Vinny Testerverde. You can win with him but you have to have a very "defined" offense that tells him 'if X throw here', 'If Y throw there'...

I agree with this. Dak has been good, sometimes he makes great plays. Sometimes he isnt very good. My issues with him have always been that he holds the ball way too long and has NO anticipation AT ALL. He has to wait for the receiver to get open and turn then he throws. And, he has accuracy issues too. Has he made some great throws that go against what I just wrote? Yes. But not on a regular enough basis. Dont think OCs have helped as we are too busy trying to find the "next McVay". With a backup older QB and 3rd stringers on OL you would think the OC would design quick, bang bang plays. Nope. Medium to long routes and slow developing plays, Dalton has to wait and gets knocked around. Where is a freaking 8-9 yard slant to Gallup or Schultz across the middle? Havent seen one in ages. Anywhoo, I think Dak is good and will make plays but I wouldnt say his skills alone are elite.

all these flaws and none of the stats support it...somehow...not sure how and nobody can prove it...except a play here and a play there.....
