Game turned when they put Zeke back in for Pollard

Being a top 10 RB in a passing league with few other bell cows is a quick drop off from the original claims he was a generational back when we drafted him.

He still could be that generational back.. and it's only a passing league if you choose to play it that way.. Half the Super Bowl Champions of the last 20 years have been running game/defensive teams. 2000 Ravens, 2002 Bucs, 2005 Steelers, 2007 Giants, 2008 Steelers, 2011 Giants, 2012 Ravens, 2013 Seahawks, 2015 Broncos. Even the 2016 Pats leaned on the running game and defense waaaaay more than they did Brady and the passing game. So this oft-repeated trope that "its a passing league" is a canard. Running game and defense has just as much chance of taking home the prize as these high flying passing teams.

You're entitled to your opinion. Zeke is still one of the most complete backs in the game.. And the Cowboys line has been closer to the bottom of the league than it has been the top for the last 2-3 years. If Pollard is better then write to the coaches and tell them.. Telling me does no good. People love Pollards occasional splash plays but ignore that he's more likely to lose yards than he is to break a big one. You can't build an offense around feast or famine.. You need to be able to hang your hat on something.

Its not tough stuff really. You dont even have to understand football. YOu just need to be able to count.

6.5 yards per carry is better than 2.8 right? No? Dont get it still?

AND THIS..................As if there aren't plenty of reasons and examples around the league on why you don't overpay a RB now he's not even the best RB on his own team. lol Those explosive runs should be coming from him. The guys a clown. The team looks like complete crap and he still has to bust out his feed me garbage?
Wouldnt it be hilarious after a 25 yard scamper for Pollard to bust out the "feed me" thing?

He should do it. At some point he has to be thinking that he is a better back then Zeke the Idiot.

There's a lot of personal hate in your words here. Nothing really left to discuss here. You want Zeke gone.. fine.. Enjoy that crusade.

So why aren't the Cowboys in the SB the last 5 years? After all, they have Zeke the great right?

I am all about defense and running game. But Zeke isnt it and paying Zeke 15 million, NOT to be it, definitely isnt the plan.

Any bozo should be able to see what the overwhelming strength of this football team and offense is after the last two years. Dak and his passing attack. Its nearly unstoppable. Only time they get stopped is when they feed Zeke. It cant be more obvious.

Yes and 19 is better than 6.5.. Let's put CD Lamb in at RB. I mean you can count right?

I freely admit it. I HATE THE GUY. I hate who he is, the way he runs, and that stupid contract they gave him.

But sadly for guys like you...........as overboard as my hatred has seemed, its actually closer to right on the money then many of you want to admit. Zeke was a huge huge mistake from day #1 drafting him. And then to double down on a 2nd contract was just total stupidity. Just goes to show how much of a football man Jerry isnt. If I can see what a fraud Zeke is, then why cant he see it every day with the guy?

We are talking about Zeke’s rankings. The SB wining team doesn’t impact where he falls in the top 10. His performance compared to other RBs around the league dictates that. Him being a bell cow getting more opportunities than most gives him an advantage.

Cmon............even you dont believe that example. Are you telling me you watch both backs run and dont see how much better Pollard looks in general? Its stands out plain as day to me. Now can he handle 20 carries a game? Not sure about that one and not sure he even has to. But I would definitely like to find out. Give the kid a 20 carry game for once. Heck, go with the hot hand, I would settle for that.

i don't know what's gotten into zeke, but Pollard looks way more explosive
They fed him too much. Guy literally ate too much, isn't dedicated and lost his speed. He got paid, got lazy and you don't see him showing his 6 pack anymore like he did in college and rookie year. Lazy and fat! Time to move on.

Lol, WRONG, or do you only believe stats that support your narrative. I love how zeke’s supporters like to ignore or dismiss all stats that don’t make him look like the best back. The O line is fine and has been top 5 in run blocking since zeke has been here with the exception of 2018 when it was 8th and this year it is currently 9th.

The excuses never end.

Momentum seemed to have shifted.......................Cowboys were driving down the field and Pollard had just busted loose for couple of nice 18-20 yard runs. 2 more than Zeke has had in 3 years. It looked like Pollard was just primed to break one more tackle he would take it to the house.

Then they got stupid and put Zeke back in. And that's where it all stalled. If Pollard plays 80% of the game, the Cowboys win.

Anyone see the ball bounce right off stone hands chest on the 10 yard out on that final drive?

Why they continue to feature Zeke in the run game remains a big mystery.

Pollard: 9 carries for 57 yards.........6.3 average (Looked like he was just getting warmed up)

Zeke Idiot: 18 carries for 2.8 yards
Pollard is the future. He will get to start on another team and get paid. Great underutilized RB.

Folks so want Zeke to be a generational back but the reality is he’s not much different than what Chris Carson does for Seattle (except Carson actually can still flip the field).

Carson is a quality back but would you pay him $13-15M per year?

BTW, Carson was a 7th round pick.

I don't know who these "folks" are. I want Zeke to continue to be one of the best backs in the league. No back is going to have "generational" production in a league that a) passes 65-70% of the time and b) doesn't value the position. All that other **** is for people to argue about at bars.

Yes he's underutilized, to some degree. But at 209 lbs he's not an every down back. In blitz situations he's not as good a blocker as Zeke. He's a complimentary back, hopefully the Cowboys will use him properly, so far to me he's not been...

Sadly, he is the perfect RB for this Cowboys team and he is being wasted. They actually completely nailed the pick. If it wasnt for Zeke we would be talking about another complete steal in the draft.

Carson is still on his rookie contract. Let's wait and see what he gets in his next contract before we laud him for being about as good as Zeke but doesn't get paid as much. If he gets a $13 - 15 million dollar contract what will you say then?

Who cares if he cant handle a full load? There is no reason to give one back 25 carries a game. Its a waste of the position. Teams carry 3 backs for a reason. Use them all. Pollard is the perfect split carry/rotation RB for this offense. And he is on a rookie contract.

Yeah, you’ve missed the point. He’s already “as good” as Zeke as a runner.

Would you pay him $13-15M per season?

Thanks for playing.
