I am surprised to find you making excuses for a Cowboy.
…..I'm beginning to wonder if you been listening to someone else, too much? When all else fails, go with the eye test.....The plays called, the packages, missed blocks, now the QB out there, and the same OC on the sideline. And before you get started, no one is excusing fumbles. Next up: Why our WRs should be released....their numbers are definitely down now.
its insane to try and use 2020 stats to start dissecting payers right now..so ignorant without a threat at QB, horrible mash unit of an OL, an OC who has no clue how to integrate a run game even before we go down 2-3 scores and that leads me to no defense ie down so quickly the run game becomes moot..
the zeke haters always been bad but really this year they couldn't wait to jump on him while the TEAM is down..good try even 2019 where KM tried to kill zekes career, zekes played very well especially late in the year..
making any comparisons to him and other players whom are NOT IN ZEKES position right now , bring them here i bet they struggle as well..
fans are pitiful and shameful, get off it zekes here 1-2 more seasons so the threads are moot and have no validity.
get back a shell for that OL and a threat at QB before we end zekes career..
anyone comparing any of our skill players on offense right now with this mash unit around them is just finding a way to push narrative while they are down..
I too am not happy with Zeke's production and very frustrated with his play, but you are not comparing apples to apples here. Cook has been in the league for 4 years, and has played a whopping 36 games. He has no mileage on his body and has 2900 rushing yards, where Zeke has played in 65 games with 6000 yards rushing. If when games played and rush yards are comparable you have more of a point.
And just for giggles, let’s compare Zeke to Dalvin Cook, by the same metrics.
Kind of embarrassing/scary, huh?
Cook faces a stacked box 35% of the time and still averages over 5 ypc. And don’t get me started on the drastic difference in big play capability between the two backs.
All of this doesn’t even start to mention the salary difference between the two. Cook just signed his extension at ~66% of the total $ value of Zeke’s contract.
That production margin is staggering.
You make a good point. I like how some people complain about our owner/execs/coaches/scheme.....and then proceed to tell us how any other rb would be SO much better here.I too am not happy with Zeke's production and very frustrated with his play, but you are not comparing apples to apples here. disagree Cousins is for sure better then Dalton, Nooch, and Gilbert and their OL is better then ours..its not even a comparison. Sorry but unless they play in the EXACT situation in the exact games, well these narratives, comps, and suspect stat picking , its a all moot..Come on, man. Dalvin Cook plays with freaking KIRK COUSINS at QB (and an average offensive line) and he’s tearing the league apart.
It’s not a “narrative” to say that Zeke has drastically regressed. Stats and common sense prove it. It doesn’t make me a “hater” to point it out; it makes me realistic.
I call things as they are. You can’t tell me that you think 2020 Zeke would run the same if he could magically teleport back to 2016 and run behind that line. He wouldn’t.

So now zeke gets the mileage excuse? I thought he was the most durable back in the league? I thought Jerry gave him the most money ever for a RB because of his longevity?I too am not happy with Zeke's production and very frustrated with his play, but you are not comparing apples to apples here. I am not saying it is an excuse, but it is a fact when comparing the 2 running backs. This isn't about Zeke's contract and whether or not it was a mistake which right now appears apparent. Would anybody want to pin their franchise on Cook given his inability to stay healthy? He hasn't played a full season as of yet....I for one would not put the franchise on his backSo now zeke gets the mileage excuse? I thought he was the most durable back in the league? you can have your fun trying ,waste your time pushing your own narratives, its not the same..
you have time machine go back to game 1 switch cook for zekes and let the seasons play out exactly the same and then compare, well thats the only way you prove your little graph and stats would play out..period..fun fan thing go compare payers but without them being on the same exact teams playing the exact game and in the exact positions coaches, scheme, its all fantasy..
Adrian Peterson was the only RB in recent memory that could win against 8 man boxes routinely.
I don't need to look at any stats to tell me 2020 zeke is nothing like 2016 zeke.
Several, probably... Nostradamus.Zeke won't be a cowboy in 2022.
