If they have as many injuries as they do this year every year then yeah they will be bad as long as they have injuries like this.
You are making excuses for the horrible coaching. Other teams have been affected just as much by injuries but still manage to win more than the Cowboys do. The difference is they have better coaching.

jerry isn't senile. if he was, he wouldn't be able to come up with the bs spin he's trying to sell. he is a lousy gm that's been castrating his own team for 25 years. he really believed it was his leadership, not jimmy's, that won those superbowls. that's just how big his ego is. he'll continue to run the team into the ground until he either physically or mentally can't any longer. damage control is no longer an option. time to abandon ship.

True stiff here, Cern! If Jerry really wants to prove he's capable of change, it's high time for him to hire a capable GM!
That's all it'd take to prove it. Anything else is pure hogwash!

Singing Jaylon's praises again. Still sees great effort from team. Says many people before the season said they have the best talent in the league but regrets switching defenses before the season. So it sounds like he's ready to hold Nolan solely accountable for what we're seeing.

Said the Cowboys got flexed because they can get good ratings in any time slot (LOL). Telling the same old stories about Michael Irvin and Tex Schramm and how he'd write the biggest check in the world for another Super Bowl. Just utter nonsense....

JJ the NFLs biggest POS GM.
It's always good to be flexed out of prime time so a lot less fans can watch the game and the terrible coaches and players Jerry fields, Jerry is worse than Al Davis ever was and by a long shot.

Why are people surprised by this? Jerry is never going to trash the team. Or any players in public. He is a snake oil salesman. He is always going to spin everything positive for his brand. It's all about his brand. He doesn't care about the results on the field.

that latest round of spin wouldn't generate enough rotational inertia to dislodge a mosquito. that's about as pathetic as i've ever heard.
Agree, he's got nothin' and trying to save face after all his bragging about ratings, primetime appearances and attendance. Booger actually thinks TV needs him more than he needs it. Take the Cowboys off the air and everyone chunks their TV into the nearest dumpster.

cern, you can bet your arsenal that behind the scenes there are a lot of media types laughing their butts off and his spin makes it even funnier.

Jerry lost me right here...

But maybe Nolan will be gone and we can at least get Edwards. That comment about regretting the 34 sounds like sure (job) death for Nolan.
Not sure quite what he meant (As we are not playing a 3-4) and what it means going forward.

Then why doesn’t he just give Dabo Swinney $40,000,000 a year? Or get Urban Meyer in here? He can afford it.
Because Swinney is not dumb enough to leave the 2nd best college gig and he's waiting for the 1st to open up.

What team with a new head coach and new defensive scheme are winning games with as many injuries as us? I'll wait. I'm for holding this team accountable but I'm not going to be naive.

Urban Meyer just doesn't want, or can't coach anymore. He just turned down the HC position at UT citing health.

I'm over here dumbfounded still trying to figure out how he dismissed effort issues on the field with Jaylon Smith's WPMOY nomination.

Not to defend Jerry on this because signing Smith was a mistake, but Jaylon's problems aren't that he doesn't give effort out there. In fact, I sometimes think he's a total spaz out there running around like a chicken without a head. Smith's problems are many - I think he doesn't have the ability to move like he did pre-injury in college. I think he lacks instincts that you need to be a great NFL LB. And I think he runs himself out of plays because he's such a spaz at times. Watch him during a play, he's bouncing all over the place like he drank five Red Bulls right before the series.

I'm sure there's an amount of money that could change his mind.
Booger is not about to approach paying a HC top money.

Do you see Swinney just standing idly by while Booger makes HC announcement for the team he coaches? His AD doesn't get involved at Clemson.

Besides that, its not about money and no owner is getting beyond the Belichick/Reid area of 10M. For Swinney, it's having it made like he has at Clemson with perpetual recruiting of 4-5 stars with only Bama, his ultimate stop being better.

The other side of that is that Swinney is well aware of what happened when Saban, Spurrier, Petrino and Kelly went to the NFL. They couldn't get back to college fast enough. 80 player rosters with 60 active is a hell of a lot easier to coach than 53 and 45. Injuries in the NFL cost HC their jobs.
