Boys dodged a bullet. ET would have been playing for next team on national tv, hey Garret I’m here!!!
Yeah..Happy. He would have destroyed the chemistry we've got going on in the locker room.
As we now understand things..
And Hoyle's Law that says..
"Everything that could go wrong will go wrong.."
has done so..
Earl Thomas.
Thumbs up?
Thumbs down?
By that I mean..
Should we have signed him and would he have helped?
Or did we dodge a bullet by not signing him and paying $8-10 million for one year?
I am on the fence myself.
I do think he could have slowed the defensive hemmorage..but not sure he could have change any losses back into wins.
And seeing that we would have probably needed to cut some players to make room under the cap..
It's better we never crossed that bridge.
Your thoughts..knowing what you knew then vs. now?
Keep it interesting.
And remember..he is unsigned next year and had a year off now and is as fresh as the new fallen...snow.
Not yellow snow.
Yes..you were saying?
We can imagine anything here anymore. If Brandon Carr couldn't get along with the defensive coaches, I have no idea how Earl Thomas would. I do think we would see a few less breakdowns on the backend but Thomas may have had a blowup and been off the team by midseason.
Right now.How could anyone be upset when he’s still available ... right now?
Chicken.I was never in favor of acquiring Earl Thomas, from the start.
I haven't questioned our decision to avoid him, to the slightest degree.
He was decidedly a troubled individual by an awful lot that he had demonstrated.
Judging from the horrific extent of this team's difficulties, his presence wouldn't have helped.
You know..I feel now, as I did then. He wouldn't have made a difference and I am not certain that he was an upgrade. I am sure of his mental state.
Should we have signed him and would he have helped?
Or did we dodge a bullet by not signing him and paying $8-10 million for one year?
You know..
That mental state.
I would rather have a fireball like Thomas..
Instead of Jaylon Smith laughing and joking with the Ravens QB after he just ripped off another 30 yd up the middle untouched.
Hmmm..
Well..Well, I'm a die hard Texas Longhorn Fan so I am also a fan of Thomas but, I am no longer sure he is OK mentally. I mean, Baltimore, to me, says a lot about him. To me, that organization gets it. Defensively, they value the Safety, they have the right mentality on Defense, they have solid coaching and usually, solid players. If they would cut him loose, then that says something to me. That, together with what you hear out of Seattle and all you hear in the press, I guess I just feel like, where there is smoke.......
Well, you know the rest.
