Post away definitely (ego on me, just answer for everbody lol), I was half wondering if others are having framerate issues? I'm on PS4 Pro and see it when I''m driving and other random times but heard if you have the base ps4 or orig Xbox One you're reallly being left in the cold.

Was hoping Johnny got it on PC after hearing this. So I kind of stepped back to let them patch this up a bit but like Ominous said the game's so big and story lines are so difft when involving side missions I doubt you could really spoil anything.
During the hacking tutorial i was starting to feel like i'm playing a old splinter cell. During gameplay my xbox one s froze once so far but it bounced back unfroze after a few seconds. Yes while driving i had some poor graphics issues. I'm not good with aiming shooting games, was hoping there was a auto aim. The player can change the view when driving but is there a way to see your own character while moving around on foot? When i was exploring/driving i wanted to see what happened when i messed with civilians, PD showed up but it seemed like they didnt chase/drive after me even though they saw me at the scene and told me to stop or something.

I finished Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus today. I hate to say, but it's the worst of the franchises' games I've played on my enjoyment scale. I know on this franchise series of games I have to put the "over the top" plot lines on a back burner to say the least. One minute I felt as if I'm in a Blaxploitation film (so many eye rolls on this plot line). and another minute I was in a 1950's sci-fi movie. Biggest gripe I had was the combat. I always felt I was in a boss fight. Every single time. Each time I had encounters with the soldiers I knew I was going to die, and die a lot. I was always so overwhelmed with the sheer numbers of the enemy and their power compared to what I had. It got tiring and something I did not look forward to. It's done and it's highly unlikely I will never play again; unlike the other Wolfenstein games.

Splinter Cell, wow those first 3 were classic. I have no clue why Ubi abandoned the series or at least didn't do a remake.
And to answer your question no, there is no way to change into a 3rd person view when on foot, first person view is it.

Tom Hardy playing Sam Fisher in the live action film?!? Yessss! Absolutely agreed the first few games were probably my favorite stealth/espionage games other than Metal Gear...speaking of were getting that movie as well with Oscar Issac im sure you all know. Should be fun...

I can't really remember the plot but do remember the difficulty spikes. Like you said, every shootout was a boss fight. I think I was on some bridge somewhere and took me forever to get past some regular enemies just by the set up, how much ammo I had left and the location where I died, etc. I was stuck! But yeah, not replaying it either lol

I need Elden Ring or a Bloodborne remaster.

I may have to play the original Bloodborne.

I'm still playing Souls.. Now i'm in love with this type of game and I want to play all of the Fromsoftware games.
It's not a Fromsoftware game but is a souls influenced game; Surge 2 is pretty cool...that map made me crazy though. Then you also got the Sekiro, Nioh, type games which are souls knock offs too (not in a bad way, they're rated 9/10) I actually bought Nioh 2 but then started Ghost of Tsushima, little scared tbh lol :D As you just experienced, once you start that type of game, it will bug you to not finish it and am too stubborn to just give up. Might have to start it up though, give Cyperpunk time to patch up a bit.

What's bad is I couldn't convince any of my friends to buy the souls game..

They have all played similar games to me for so long.. Fifa.. Cod..

I bought this game because I just wanted to enjoy some next gen graphics.. Little did I know that I would be playing a game that is an absolute masterpiece and they have been making master pieces while i've been playing games that are basically the fast food section of video games.

I didn't know I could enjoy a single player game like this but it makes sense because growing up I enjoyed games like Mario and sonic.. Defeating levels..

That is what this game is on a grand scale.. You're trying to defeat levels.

Spiderman? It's cool..

I'm playing God Of War now.. It seems cool as well but more cinematic than anything.

This souls game is just a different experience. How every level makes you feel. How the prison of hope can be so beautiful and creepy at the same time.

I'm ready for more lol.

Damn, nice write up Catch, bringing that main forum juice over to the OT :D I was with you too growing up, we generally played Madden and Mortal Kombat..when I would try to let my friends "in" on these types of games they would generally roll their eyes. I myself was the same until probably more early 20s. They're kind of jock video games; all about winning against another human opp

Like you said, there's a cool dynamic that happens playing a solo game, esp one as well crafted as the Demon Souls and Bloodbornes of the world. You're there mentally, and the challenge aspect is definitely the most gratifying experience I've had playing games. Like the Mario last level pressure adrenaline but extended to the whole game.

You can also wear yourself out playing these, so also would say pop in a more mentally free game so you don't burn yourself out. I think after Bloodborne, I probably didn't play anything "for real" for months.

Just got off the phone with walmart CS again. Seems this Xbox might not get delivered until January or maybe not at all. I was on the phone with this rep for like 30 minutes trying to fiqure out the best solution, kept asking me if i wanted to cancel the order to be refunded, told them that does me no good and that i want the item. Then i was asked if i wanted a 10% kick back on the xbox, but i said what if it never ships and you end up refunding the total, i will lose the 10% and have no item. Finally i told them that i also bought a tv from them and that they should kick back on that item and leave my xbox order alone for the time being to see if it does ship later.

End result my xbox order still pending and walmart gave me a kick back of 20% on the TV. Hoping the Xbox will ship but i doubt it, i think i will end up having to reorder sometime in the future.

I took a week off of Souls after beating it and the entire time I was playing other games I kept thinking about this one and the best way to go about getting platinum lol.

I see what you mean though but already next game plus is so much easier because I’ve done it all before and I’m not trophy chasing.

I don’t know if I’ll ever trophy chase on one of these games again.

CD Projekt has issued an apology for the poor performance issues especially with the console versions.

Dear gamers,

First of all, we would like to start by apologizing to you for not showing the game on base last-gen consoles before it premiered and, in consequence, not allowing you to make a more informed decision about your purchase. We should have paid more attention to making it play better on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Second, we will fix bugs and crashes, and improve the overall experience. The first round of updates has just been released and the next one is coming within the next 7 days. Expect more, as we will update frequently whenever new improvements are ready. After the holidays, will continue working will release two large patches starting with Patch #1 in January. This will be followed by Patch #2 in February. Together these should fix the most prominent problems gamers are facing on last-gen consoles. We will be informing you about the contents of each patch ahead of their release. They won't make the game on last-gen look like its running on a high-spec PC or next-gen console, but it will be closer to that experience than it is now.

Finally, we would always like everyone who buys our games to be satisfied with their purchase. We would appreciate it if you would give us a chance, but if you are not pleased with the game on your console and don't want to wait for updates, you can opt to refund your copy. For copies purchased digitally, please use the refund system of PSN or Xbox respectively. For boxed versions, please first try to get a refund at the store where you bought the game. Should this not be possible, please contact us at helpmerefund@cdprojektred.com and we will do our best to help you. Starting from today, you can contact us for a week up until December 21st, 2020.

Humbly
Marcin Iwiński, Adam Kiciński, Adam Badowski, Michal Nowakowski, Pio Nielubowicz, Piotr Karowski

PS. PC gamers will also be getting regular updates and fixes improving the game.

Also there is a config file edit you can do that has helped performance on the pc version.
In a nutshell the RAM and Video Ram setting in the file is the same as both console versions. Which is about 1.5 GB ram and 3.0 GB video ram, i changed mine to 16 GB ram and 8 GB Vram, saved it and restarted the game. At 4K resolution i gained about 20 frames across the board, 1080,1440 and 2160 resolutions.

All this being said i kept my gametime at 2 hours, just in case.
In the end i found the Witcher 3 to be a much more immersive setting. I honestly believe Cyberpunk could have used another 3 months or so of development, i think they knew that but wanted to get it out for Christmas.

I ended up refunding the game but will keep a close eye on its updates and possible a discount in the future. For 60 bucks i want something that is of stellar quality and this is not.

I played a bit this weekend on PS4. There are some issues. I was driving around and one wall said something to the effect "Invalid texture image" or something like that. I thought that was hilarious. I went to talk to someone to let me into a building and their face was a blur and I couldn't get into the building until it loaded fully. But so far it's not bad enough for me to not want to play or get a refund.
