It doesn't make a difference it we cheer or boo.
That is not exactly what I said. Cheer or booing does not affect what the team does unless cheering and booing inside the stadium impacts what either team is trying to do. If someone is cheering for the team elsewhere, it has zero impact on either team whatsoever.

Cheering and booing affects each individual directly. That is how self-satisfaction is achieved. Love what the team just did? You cheer. And it feels good. Dislike what happened on the field? You boo. And you feel whatever emotion is attached to doing it.

That is the difference.
I'll give you that, but openly wanting to lose is pathetic. Don't you agree?
Of course. I have posted that same sentiment, for who knows how many times, going on twenty years on this site alone lol.

What do you really care. Lol

I mean honestly.

as a fan I’m more bothered by the fact that the cowboys aren’t a good football team. Than I am in whether other fans want them to beat the bengals in a meaningless game.

Excellent question, Why does he really care? Some guys are more concerned with building the team for future success while others are happy with an occasional meaningless win now rather than investing for future success, and picking arguments with anyone who disagrees.
But neither side of the issue has any influence at all on what the Cowboys do, so why all the so called "disgust"?

Very rationale point, Buzzbait.

I feel great that they won!!! Don't you??

How do you feel about 4-12? It's easy to say you feel great about this win or that win, but how about 4-12? I feel good about winning as well, but I'm betting as a competitor you don't like the sound of 4-12 any more than I do.
Some of us are interested in ways to turn that 4-12 into 12-4. High draft picks is one of those ways.

If Dak Prescott plays...
Then We’re not having this discussion because Dak proved early in the year we’re never out of a game with him and thus would have a chance in the playoffs. So you would root for the team to get there because they can get hot and go all the way.

Imposing our will? Exactly how can that happen? I really want to know so that I can impose a few Super Bowl seasons. I think all of us learns tidbits from time to time. I don’t think that any of our opinions means anything to the team or has any effect on their success. To be honest, our opinions are as useless as tits on a board hog.
Nope...not "impose their will" to win super bowls.

"Impose their will" as in their opinion matters more than anyone else's or they are some sort of expert NFL guru. Bullies, if you will.

That redundancy is the norm with most. Habits are habits and the familiar is comfortable.
People simply do not tire of saying the same thing hundreds upon hundreds of times, no matter how right, or wrong. It's what is in their heads and it's not leaving.
It's easy to assume that that's pretty much how they go about their lives.

Oh! You asked for 3 things.
I'm not of the proper state of mind, at the moment, to properly answer more eloquently.

I hope this was enough.
Eh...that will work. I should have guessed it wasn't really football-oriented. In that regard....you are right. There's a lot to learn here.
It's the same with so many things in life. Politics, for example. No amount of facts changes anything. It's kind of amazing really.

I don't think any game is meaningless. The disgusted feeling i get is from fans that openly want to lose. I just don't get it. That's all.

It's a win! What don't you understand? I wouldn't waste my time watching them if I wanted them to lose and i wouldn't call myself a fan.

This team will win one game, two games, three games or zero games down the stretch. Ditto for teams with similar records as Dallas. The season will play out as it has always done for every team that has ever played football--on the field. And the NFL draft order will be determined by game results and not fan expectations.

Tomorrow is not promised for anyone. May as well enjoy what you can experience in the here-and-now. You may not have an opportunity to see what might or might not ever be.

You don’t get to dictate who are and are not fans.

That’s the issue here. Nobody has a problem with somebody who is glad the cowboys won.

Most people are reacting to being called “non” fans and people saying they’re disgusted simply because we don’t think it helped the cowboys to win a meaningless game against the bengals after sucking eggs all season long.

lol!

Just thought about it. I have attended many football games in person. Gone to football watching parties. Watched games at sports bars. Read game day threads. Etc.

Not once in my 44 years of being around other fans have I heard:

HEY! Bozos! Stop driving the ball! What the heck are you DOING???

Don't catch that pass!

Why are you not FUMBLING!

Sack my quarterback! Kiiiiiill him!

Oh NOW you discovered how to tackle!

Why did you bat that pass down? The other team would have scored! Gawd!

WHY DON'T YOU FREEZE YOUR KICKER ON EVERY FIELD GOAL ATTEMPT!!!!!!!!

Seriously.

I guess my mentality has always been to focus on the next game. The work put into that game is very satisfying after a win. I look at it differently than many. I'm not saying I'm right just my thoughts.
I think most get your prospective and like anyone’s I respect it as we all should
Wanting to win can’t be a crazy idea and intentionally losing is sure not a good idea for players
I think some see it was more about the future of the roster and higher drafted talent tends to be better
But I have to respect anyone disgusted by losing even though I’d just as soon have the higher pick than the win
