Why would Dak want to go to a team without a 1st and 3rd rounder lol? If I was him I'd just sit out. Why be loyal to a franchise that isn't loyal to you?
it take one team could be a team that needs dak as the final piece..i mean tannelhilll tripped into great situation so can dak if the right team comes after him

will be very interesting and entertaining off season..so many changes coming and decsions to make..

he can sit and lose money go ahead other teams dont like this ie what happened to bell ended up settling and after exposed ..hmm he gambled once got hurt and let him gamble again post injury, doubt it best thing take the 35 allow the DC to do 4-5 years with some escalators or voided years should they get to a championship game and or a SB..team friendly deal with some benefits to both if both parties bit more motivated this time hope it happens fast drags out past the draft isnt a good thing,

his tears tell me he could be bit more humbled this offseason..

I guess you think Dak does not have warts? If so, you are lying to yourself.
I never said he doesn't. Dak haters always bring that up if anyone on this board, just doesn't agree with them or dumps on dak incessently...

but I know what he is capable of in the NFL. none of those other players have it and they all have question marks.....draft after draft after draft, highly touted QBs fail in the NFL or fizzle out after a couple of years. suffice it to say, we are not getting a shot at lawrence or fields who are the top 2 highly touted QBs...picking any of the other ones is like roulette....gambling trying to hit on a specific number.....more fails than succeeds.....so we either go chasing the next QB for the next 10 years, drafting in the top 10, drafting a QB every three years or we sign Dak and draft defense.....

and like I said, and have said before, paying Dak doesn't stop us from signing FAs. I don't believe building offense or defense through FA and signing multiple high priced FAs. you sign one when you need one (ala cooper who transformed the WR group).....and we need to build through the draft and signing Dak doesn't stop us from building through the draft.

umm called the Non exclusive FranchiseTag

we can do it two more times and allow him to get offers that would require 2 firsts for him to leave..keep up we own his rights 2 more season if they want to play tough love lol

I get its not practical but why wouldnt he want to leave and maybe we say find a offer better then ours and we will take 1st and 3rd why not if daks so great this franchise qb who wants 40mil another team who has traded up in drafts with more stock for guys like wentz..

only takes one team and at that point Daks frustrated and agrees..
I didn't say it was impossible....again, having a player who is under contract is much easier...but a franchise player who is going to get a large contract is a double whammy for any team, and they may/will shy away....giving up a high draft pick and then a large contract....has it happened before? yes, a couple of times.....but its not the norm and very difficult to pull off.

and you have to consider which teams would be willing and what we get in return. top picking teams won't make that trade. why would they? they are rebuilding and probably shopping for QBs.... it would be utterly stupid. can you see Jax or Jets trading the #1,2 picks for Dak? seriously!!

I haven't seen that happen before. so best chances are to a contending team, ala New England (don't see them paying high dollars and picks)
Indy (possibly)
SF (maybe, maybe.....they have grapolo with a large contract, so they have to get rid of him as well)
Washington (trade to a division rival? do you see that happening)

that's about it.....market of about 4 teams......and they will be picking in the 20s....is it worth giving up a franchise top 10 QB, for a pick in the 20s? what do you expect to get from a pick that low...its a huge huge huge gamble.....we may then be chasing a QB for the next 10 years.....ala Denver, Indy (traded for one, signed a declining FA),

Help me understand though......you're saying they should sign him to a non exclusive tag which would require him to sign it......and then go to a team that loses its 1st and 3rd rounder for him? Which would then require us to use cap space to ship him out? AM I understanding correctly?

Wow, you should be a GM! It's so easy, huh. Pay Dak what he wants, that's all you cats are good for...I mean, Dak has had soooo much success, right? By the way, Dak has had a damn good team around him at times and guess what, nada. Call JJ, asap, put in your resume, he say's he might be looking for a GM and you seem to have all the answers....pay Dak.

why is money an issue? how is Dalton at 10 better? they are still same players regardless of contract. the value of a contract doesn't make a player better or worse. they are what they are..

and which FAs are available that would be worth the top dollars to get them? and how many of those can you get that would take this bottom ranked defense to respectable? or are you planning to load up on a bunch of mid level FAs, which we tried and then let them go because they sucked. which defensive FA is about to hit the market you want to spend 20-25M that would put this defense over the top?

Because skill wise they aren't that far apart. I never said to spend top dollar for anyone. But we definately need to be able to get some free agents since we are losing a bunch of players on defense and we only have so many draft picks. My whole point is not spending big money on non elite players which neither of these QB's are elite.

I'm saying if they hit him with non exclusive tag to get compensation for him and dictate what team he goes to? What incentive does he have to do that?

“What incentive does he have to do that?”

He has around $30M+ incentive to do that.
No need to cry poverty for Dak. He has been well compensated. The Cowboys have been plenty loyal to Dak. It is time for Dak to be loyal to the team and fellow players. He was offered a fair contract. Want more? Fine, go ahead and leave.

Ok I don't know if you're agenda towards him has what I'm saying going over your head or what. I never suggested he wouldn't go and leave. What I'm saying is why would he sign a non exclusive tag to go to a team he doesn't want to play for? I can't spell that out any clearer......

how would we trade Dak? his contract ends at the end of the season. this is not NBA or Baseball, so there is no sign and trade. the only option would be to franchise him and find a team willing to trade and then pay him. that would be double jeapordy for a lot of teams, giving up draft picks and salary.....most teams would do one or the other.....that would also require Dak to accept an offer from the other team willing to trade for him, because Dak could refuse to sign the tag and decide to sit out.

this would be a lot a lot more complicated

A team can't even trade a player who was offered the tag but hasn't signed it yet. They have to si9gn the tag before they can be traded but then finding a team that will give up draft pick(s) and have to pay the tag amount is asking more than is realistic.

pay Dak the market value...not what he wants...there is a difference.

Dak has had a good offensive team around him, crappy coaching. since cooper, he has led the #1 offense in the league.

let me ask you a very simple question: Tell me how many Rings would Brady have with Garret, Linehan and Moore as his coaches?

His parents and peers taught him that.

wth? Brother, that is one stupid comment!

Your comment is so transparent, when others read that, they will know exactely what you really want to say. Why would any parent or peer teach someone the word "hatred".

Go have a shot and think...
