"We as players focus on our jobs and the owner is who deals with those issues" is a perfectly acceptable response, unless fans are looking to complain.

That is not his quote, that is yours.

Some of you had no issue with his weakminded act on the sounds from the sidelines thread I made so its cool. I just know what Jaylon really is. You dont go from 2018 to this by being a warrior. I bet he was one of the guys mad cause Richard yelled at them

Seriously who cares? We suck. The cowboys have shown more than enough lately that nobody cares, yet you all get mad because JS openly said it!

Nobody wants to watch this garbage team on TV. I hope they continue to get fazed out until they start consistently winning consistently.

Definitely the most Cowboys-esque quote ever. Doesn't care about their record or poor play so long as Jerry is still signing checks. Look no further for what ails the Cowboys than this sort of nonsense.

He knows Jerry is the only reason he is where he is at in life. No other team would ever have extended this loser to a big contract after one single good season a year before his contract was done. Especially after missing all of 2016. And getting exposed against the Rams in the playoffs.

Jerry and Jaylon belong to each other. Both are losers in every sense of the word.

I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again...I publicly apologize for ever endorsing this clown by saying I was happy for him when he got his contract. It should have never happened, I’m disgusted with myself.
Me to.

I suspect in the end, the 49ers-Cowboys would have drawn more eyes than Browns-Giants but what is the big deal. Teams are flexed out all the time, but all of a sudden, when it is us, it is like doomsday.

I think the point being made is that they wouldn't flex a Cowboys game unless the product sucked. And Jerry knows that which is why he was in full blown defense mode earlier this week trying to argue they flexed the Cowboys to get ratings at 1. Yeah Jerry, that's a steaming pile you are trying to sell there. They flexed you because your team blows.

much, much, much ado about nothing. starting at 7:00 pm most days is called prime time television. we aren't prime time at the current time. just a wise business decision.

I don't care what he says on the sidelines or to reporters. And if he does say something I'm not going to lose my mind over how it was interpreted by deep thinkers like **checks notes** Jeff Cavenaugh.

You go from 2018 to this for several reasons, but the biggest one is named Dick Nolan.

First there was Socrates and now...Jaylon Smith
LOL .....JOCRATES !! At least he was being honest lol, as long as it doesnt rile big Jerry , he is ok with it!

From some of these guys perspective Sun night or thur, isnt all that appealing, as they would rather play in the day
and party at nite. Some would rather go to bed at 10 pm rather than still be playing a game.

Only the ego driven divas want that bigger tv audience.

What was the issue last year? I seemed to have missed the posts in 2019 saying he sucked and wouldn't be claimed on waivers if we cut him.

I can guarantee Jaylon is the biggest suck up to the coaches and higher ups. With this quote and "I wish Jason Garrett is my coach for the rest of my career", which came at a time the team had lost a bunch, it's like shut up man. I've never seen a more unlikeable Cowboy

Here is an article listing Jaylon among the top 11 - 20 LBs in the NFL for 2019.

https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/...ll-deliver-upset-wins-in-tight-nfc-east-race/

Finally, because there are clearly more than 10 great linebackers in the NFL, it's important to note the players who barely missed the cut. Those players include: Danny Trevathan, Deion Jones, Benardrick McKinney, Jaylon Smith, Alexander Johnson, Devin White, Joe Schobert, Blake Martinez, Zach Cunningham, and Cory Littleton. If you feel strongly that one of those players deserved to be on this list, I don't blame you. I wanted to include them too. I think all 10 of those players have a convincing argument. But in the end, there could only be 10, which means a few notable snubs were inevitable.
