Oh yes, my bad....2 games LOL, I hope they break the bank signing him. The misery when he craps the bed is going to be epic.
You're entitled to your opinion. I know what will happen if they don't retain Dak. I'll be laughing at you fools who thought it was better to go another route with someone else.

GB traded for Favre when they had a QB, then drafted Rodgers when they had a QB, then drafted Love when they have a QB.

A team's loyalty is to the team, not one player. Especially one playing hardball in negotiations.

Look, if I am in the singles bar and Hard Marge is proving to be too difficult, I am going to give Easy Lisa a chance.

Hell, Johnson took the QB with the #1 pick and did the same in the supplemental.

AC, this is a case of being more concerned about a player than the team and we've seen a lot of that around here. There is not one player on this team that I wouldn't take a chance on an upgrade. I love the laundry, not the ones wearing it.

Dak, now it's crystal clear the Joneses are not 100% all in on you. They are outright telling you what they think and what they were trying to do to draft your replacement before this year started. Give them what they want. Make them eat their words and regret losing you. Go find a team that will truly appreciate you.

immediate RELEASE!!!!

I thought drafting Rodgers when he fell that far was a no brainer for green Bay at the time. Same reason I thought it was stupid of Detroit for not drafting Tua when they had the chance. Their teams current QBs aren't getting any younger and need replacing soon. But I get your point. It's just weird when you have a young qb.

However, Dak is not signed long term so anything goes.

Aaron Rodgers says hi. The Cowboys have tried to sign Dak to a long term but could not come to an agreement. With the way Wince has played this season all quarterbacks are in trouble.

One could argue that the Cowboys are far more ‘in’ on Dak than Dak is on the Cowboys. They’ve made him several very very fair offers, this is dumb. Jalen Hurts will be a flat out bum once there’s film on him (just like Wentz)... Hurts couldn’t win big games in college and he certainly won’t win big games in the NFL, so far he’s 0-2 and that’s all that matters.

I believe some on here want us to sign Dak to highest salary ever and change our name to Dallas Dakboys.

Seriously though I hope a cap friendly deal can be worked out but nothing wrong with front office looking at other QBs. Just wish they wouldn’t talk so damn much to media.

Its not like the Cowboys didnt try and sign Dak. From reports out there he may of been offered 34 mil a year. this 4 or 5 year squabble is a smoke screen. There must of been something that prevented Dak from signing the deal. I have a feeling the reason Dak wasnt signed is because of his agent and not the Jones boys. When you take that into account why wouldnt you look at other QBs. Even if the Jones boys absolutely love Dak they have to play these negotiations as though they would be willing to go another direction otherwise Dak is holding all the cards.

Yet, this season after Dak's injury has proven you and the Joneses wrong about Dak's value to this team.

How does it feel to be so wrong once again?
I’ve never denied Daks value to the team. Have called him our MVP. And my message has been clear throughout that we would be contenders for the division with him and most likely won it.

I’ve argued if we are truly “All In “ on Dak we should have met his demands and paid him. I’ve also been been very critical of our owners position on the matter. So don’t lump me in with their strategy.

My criticism of Dak had been placing him in this Top 5 category of elite passers in the league . And if we need Top talent to prop him up then he shouldn’t be paid Top 5 if we intend to build a team around him. Top 5 paid QB need to be able to elevate less than elite talent around them.

While your not able to accept any criticism of Dak you have maintained you don’t believe he’s worth more than low 30 million range which isn’t going to get him signed with Dallas. So, I’m not sure why you’re so upset with the Cowboys as it’s your guy who’s preventing a deal getting done.

Most likely Dak is looking for a a deal similar to Watson now in the 40 million range which I can’t blame Dak who appears to be similar in talent level.

But look what’s happened to the Texans as they had to let their top WR go. The same effects could happen here. Elite paid QB’s have to elevate less than elite talent around them. The only exception of course is elite QB’s on Rookie contracts.

If we are All In on Dak then we need to pay him and let the chips fall where they may.

Tell me again why it's a sin for the team to look at improving all positions? People seem to think if their favorite player is whatever position then the team isn't allowed to draft or sign FAs to compete at said position...

Imagine being a bigger fan of one player than the team you're supposed to be a fan of. Wow.
It’s more than just that. It’s an agenda driven motivation from proving Dak will take the team further than Romo which he was a leading basher of. It’s all intertwined together.

He’ll eventually get frustrated with the discussion and begin insulting others . That’s when you know he’s lost the argument.

exactly. This isn't prime Brady, Peyton Manning, Aaron Rodgers, *cough* Romo that could work with most receivers, they obviously still need help but you don't need to dump all resources into the offense.

This team needs help all over and I don't see how the teams continues to progress AFTER Dak gets paid as compared to our progress before he gets paid. We are dangerously close to working backwards for years and it all depends on this one contract.
