with that said Rodgers and Mahomes are elite QB, so if you please let me know which aisle in Target has the Elite QB section, I would appreciate it, so perhaps I stop by and pick up a couple or three

So you agree then Rodgers and Mahoney are elite, in which case explain how Dak is worth what those guys make?

Anyone who think dalton is better than Dak have to realize no team offered dalton a starting job
If Dak is let go he will be offered a starting job very quickly
if that ever happened, it will only be a bridge...ala Fitzpatrick or Garner Minshew...he will be a tank time QB as a bridge to a top 5 pick to your next potential QB.....exactly what happened to him in cinci....

Yeah, and on NFL Network they are all in agreement, not that that means anything, but they were saying that they think the Cowboys will let Dak go and sign Dalton to a 4-6 year contract to help build the team. Would not hurt my feeling at all.
They are correct as those tears Dak shed were because even he knew that was his last snap as a Cowboy!

where did you get that?

I guess we are in a new week, so the Dak numbers creep up, actually not sure if it was you or one of your pal's they said, Dak wanted the highest contract ever in the NFL... so we started last month or so at 33-35, then it crept up to 35-38 and then 40 and now the highest contract in NFL ever....interesting phenomenon....
Even at 28 mill it’s like meh...maybe

Because daks solo stats haven’t equated to wins. Daltons have. Period.
so lets examine the context...

1- you complained about 8-8 record and Dak not beating winning teams.

2- here you are saying Dalton's play equals wins, against teams with really bad losing records...

so which side of the fence are you on? which of the above do you stand behind?

Atlanta choked multiple fourth quarter leads this year, including allowing, I believe it was Foles, to put up 21 in the fourth quarter. The Seahawks, when we played them, had one of the worst pass defenses in the league. In fact, they are still 32nd in yards and attempts defensively. They only started righting the ship in game 10.
so lets examine our defensive play this year....specially early on in the year, since you are kind of evaluating and commenting on Seattle defense....

So, Zach MArtin sucks and needs to be replaced? And Gallup and Lamb as well.

Yeah, you go with that.

who is talking about replacing? All I’m saying is that if you are asking to be payed as an elite QB then show up as that elite Qb and carry your team. If not then what the hell are we talking about? Daks a middling talent and isn’t going to carry this team. That’s not the guy you pay too dollar for and if someone else wants to be dumb enough to do it then let them.

keep saying that, out loud, at least 10 times a day and then you may actually start to believe it...its called power of persuasion ........you can actually trick your brain to believe in anything

Well, why don’t you give me a price you would pay for Dak?

And give me a price you would pay for Dak if the cap is around $175M next year.

I’m with Colin the gap between dak and dalton is small. And not enough to give dak the giant contract.

This team wouldn't be sitting any prettier if Dak never got hurt.
Ill take Dalton with the cap savings and we will be just as good.
we would have already won the division. no way we lose to Commanders twice. we probably would beat AZ at home, given how putrid the offense was and how many chances they gave to AZ offense getting off the field because they couldn't mount any drive, kept putting the defense back on the field..

It is not just about talent. It is also about salary. No team can compete paying Dak $35-40M per year.

Think basic economics of supply vs demand and price. It is that simple. Dak sets his price and the 32 consumers do a cost benefit analysis.
which team can't compete with a 35-40M salary? and lets not forget, its about percentage of the cap, not just pure numbers as the cap goes up every year....so you don't think Seattle handing Wilson was/is competitive? or GB, when they handed Rodgers one of the largest QB contracts at the time? or Atlanta when they handed Ryan one of the largest contracts and went to the superbowl? or Giants handing Eli a large contract and winning 2 superbowls...are you predicting that Mahomes will not win another superbowl given he will have almost a $50M average salary? because that's what you just said....

if you have four years worth of comparison, why just choose 6 games? that hardly comes across as a professional comparison. nothing to be taken seriously.

so two solid defensive plays are going to account for massive drop off in QB play? which two defensive players are you talking about....or do I just go to Target Aisle 18, Defensive players section?
It’s not massive. You are getting a 10-15 QB and two players instead of a 5-10 QB. Dak will make a few more plays than Dalton will, especially running assuming his ankle is 100%.

But again we have losing year in year out because we don’t invest in defense. Instead of trying to compete defensively with high risk reward players, we should actually just put some money back there. If Trent Dilfer can win a super bowl, so can Andy Dalton with these weapons.

It's amazing that with all of these salary experts here they have all this time to troll the forums.
