I'm personally not "hating" on him at all.

Other than a quintuple reverse on the goal line here and there, I think he has been fine.

If Dak likes working with him, all the better.

My beef is what I suspected all along...where Jerry has to have his HC in waiting hanging around. The players arent oblivious to things like that, and my opinion is that it makes MMs job all that much tougher.

Maybe I'm wrong, and I spend a lot of time hoping that Jerry's way of running this team (which no other has ever pulled off) works out. If it does itll be in spite of him, not because.
way overthinking this ...this is MM team period..if he thought Kn wa thrat he would have asked jerry to let him go or take play calls from him..KM is here at MM wishes as well..

How do you know BSU turned him down? The only two under consideration are Moore and the DC from OR and Moore could have turned them down.
the news stated that boise was going in different direction.they would have stated otherwise..

The best thing about Moore is he said Andy was a starting QB. That gives me hope Dak won’t be here next year.

Don’t like this extension. At all. People point to yardage stats to back KM’s value— but here are the problems:

1. Red Zone efficiency (or lack thereof), We are mediocre when it comes to scoring TD’s. We went 18 straight games without scoring an opening TD. Way too many FG’s— not enough creativity down where it matters most.

2. Slow starts. The offense has developed a pattern of opening games slow and flat. Lots of mistakes. Turnovers. Inconsistent performance. Poor TOP. Way too many frantic comebacks to try and win games. Gotta play smart, fundamentally sound offense— and we struggle in that dept— and the OC bears some responsibility

3. Lack of focus and commitment to the running game... KM loves to pass, but this team plays it’s best ball when we commit to the run. We don’t run proficiently enough, and it doesn’t appear tp be a high priority to KM.

Add it all up, and IMO, we have been settling for scraps and leaving a lot of points on the field considering the talent we have. KM is not a “bad” OC... he is young and learning on the job. I think a more seasoned OC can optimize and maximize the potential of this offense more effectively than KM.

I hope he proves me wrong and he takes significant steps over the next 3 years— but I am afraid we are simply validating the status quo... and quite frankly, it has not been good enough to contend for a championship

I have no problem with Moore himself at all.

I do think this it magnifies what Jerry was pulling in the first place, which I don't much care for. I think it undermines the current HC.
I mean but we know this. I said it this offseason when everyone was touting McCarthy as some authoritarian figure. He's a sheep like the rest.

Its a passing league. Not a running back league.

The Dallas Cowboys have agreed to a multi-year contract extension with offensive coordinator Kellen Moore, the team announced Saturday.

With his new deal, Moore won't pursue an opportunity to become the next head coach at Boise State - his alma mater. The 32-year-old was viewed as a favorite to lead the Broncos after Auburn hired Bryan Harsin in December.

"We are building something special here in Dallas," Moore said in a statement. "I am thankful to the Jones family and Mike McCarthy for providing me the opportunity to coach these special players. I am excited for us to put it all together and finish the job."

Dallas ranks 12th in total offense and 16th in point per game this season under its young assistant despite losing several key players to injuries.

Quarterback Dak Prescott led the league in passing yards before suffering a compound fracture and dislocation in his right ankle in Week 5.

Moore joined the Cowboys in 2018 as quarterbacks coach, and the club promoted him to offensive coordinator the following year. Head coach Mike McCarthy kept him on staff when the franchise hired the veteran sideline boss in 2020.

McCarthy is also expected to retain his job regardless of whether Dallas qualifies for the postseason in Week 17.
Moore should of taken the Boise Job, the Dallas Cowboys are a f@#$%^&king joke! We beat three bums coming into this game and now that we're facing a kickass 3 man defense line the BOYS are going into their imploding act. This is NO LONGER AMERICA'S TEAM, THE RAVENS WERE CORRECT WHEN THEY WERE YELLING EASY MONEY WHEN THEY PLAYED US. I'll take Alabama over this team any day of the week and twice on Sundays!

We were a offensive line team back then lol. That offensive line is long gone.

You said it was a passing league. Not a RB league. I shared a specific, recent, tangible example of how running the ball leads to success.

The fact that the OL is injured has no bearing on the discussion. You say it’s a passing league, I say you still need to run effectively to win games.

No what you did was reference what we did 4 years ago as if that has any bearance on what it takes to win in this league. This Cowboys team is not a good running team. They are built like a passing team. This team has tried to run and it hasn’t worked. Not just this year but the past 3 seasons.

Linehan ran the ball first and Dak played within himself and the system. It worked.

Zeke got suspended in 2017 and everything took a step back in 2017.

Then KM took over to coach his BFF Dak and the offense shifted to a passing attack. And while the yardage stats have been impressive (thanks to lots of 2nd half passing comebacks), our efficiency stats have been meh.

Again— I am not debating that our current roster is not able to execute in the running game dept. I agree with you.

You said this is a passing league— and I think that a good running attack is still needed to win and contend. IMO— KM has shown a prioritization on the pass, and he has not shown enough consistency in the red zone, along with an inability to start games strong and efficiently to warrant a 3 year extension.

I’m fine agreeing to disagree
