Hope and optimism are great but in order for me to buy into that there HAS TO BE a foundation.
You can build a house and have hope and optimism that’s it’s a great house. But if built on loose, muddy foundation. What do you have really?
I don’t believe Jones family is solid foundation.
Offense is one of the best, if not the best in the NFL with a elite level QB entering his prime. Oline semi rebuild is looking good after this year with Biadasz and Mcgovern and some young tackle backups. Zeke has been exposed so that will be finished soon. WR position is set for the future with Lamb and Gallup. TE position is surprisingly good with Shultz and Jarwin. That was a position that was looking bleak last season.
Found a great young corner in Diggs, a great young safety in Wilson and a good young DT in Gallimore. Gregory has what it takes and he cant get busted for pot anymore. Aldon Smith looks like he could give us a few more good years as a rotation DE. If we can fill two more defensive starter holes in this years draft we should be looking promising over there.
Defense at this point is the ONLY real concern. New regime going into their 2nd season and will finally get an offseason to implement and turnover the roster to fit their schemes.
Things are really looking up. A top 10 pick and lots of experience for young guys in an injury riddled season is actually EXACTLY what this team needed. A top 5 pick would have been ideal, but I think we should be happy with the 10th pick.
