What is true status of team and true direction?

Hope and optimism are great but in order for me to buy into that there HAS TO BE a foundation.

You can build a house and have hope and optimism that’s it’s a great house. But if built on loose, muddy foundation. What do you have really?

I don’t believe Jones family is solid foundation.

Offense is one of the best, if not the best in the NFL with a elite level QB entering his prime. Oline semi rebuild is looking good after this year with Biadasz and Mcgovern and some young tackle backups. Zeke has been exposed so that will be finished soon. WR position is set for the future with Lamb and Gallup. TE position is surprisingly good with Shultz and Jarwin. That was a position that was looking bleak last season.

Found a great young corner in Diggs, a great young safety in Wilson and a good young DT in Gallimore. Gregory has what it takes and he cant get busted for pot anymore. Aldon Smith looks like he could give us a few more good years as a rotation DE. If we can fill two more defensive starter holes in this years draft we should be looking promising over there.

Defense at this point is the ONLY real concern. New regime going into their 2nd season and will finally get an offseason to implement and turnover the roster to fit their schemes.

Things are really looking up. A top 10 pick and lots of experience for young guys in an injury riddled season is actually EXACTLY what this team needed. A top 5 pick would have been ideal, but I think we should be happy with the 10th pick.

Look, this offense will be considered one of the best when they can score more points than the opposition. Eventually, you're going to have to concede that winning games is more important than stats. It's really all that matters!

Because you don’t understand about defense? Pretty basic concept. So you blame the offense for scoring 37 points because the D gives up 39?

Another agenda troll. No one is that stupid. This isn’t basketball. There is an offense and then a whole separate side of the team that comes in and plays defense.

Dak should be the foundation but instead they paid Zeke and Jaylon Smith instead.

In fairness, Dak has turned down a very fair contract offer b/c it was a year longer than he wanted. Dak got nobody to blame but himself for not being signed.

The guaranteed money was way too low for a 5-year deal and the Cowboys refused to give a four year deal which was pretty much standard across the league. Not to mention I think the Cowboys should have gotten this deal done after 2018 anyway.

The guaranteed money was never released in the contract details nor was it ever cited by Dak's camp as an issue. The 4 year extensions given recently to QBs coming off rookie deals were tacked onto the final years of their rookie contract. So they are in essence , 5 year deals.

$110 million guaranteed was what I saw reported which Goff got on a four-year extension. So if the Cowboys wanted five then there needed to be more guaranteed money for me to consider it a "fair contract". The Cowboys should have gotten the deal done after 2018 if they wanted the advantage of an extra year.

I don't know what an agenda troll is. Do you really think that bull is necessary because we have differing opinions?

What kind of poster would blame the offense for the defense if they didnt have an agenda? Why would you do that? Something has to be making you say something so ridiculous.

Or do you really believe that a great offense should be denied the credit they deserve at doing their jobs because the defense cant do theirs?

How do you judge individual players or team groups at their job? By ONLY wins? Thats ridiculous.

Nowhere did I blame the offense for the poor play of the defense, that comment is ridiculous!. My comment was about being an elite offense, you know, the kind that scores on the final drive to win the game. The kind where you know they will score, no matter what.

Your disrespectful and aggressive behavior is exhibited almost every day here. I promise to NEVER comment on a post of yours, please do me the same favor.

Maybe you need to go back and read your own drivel. You specifically said it doenst matter how good the offense is if they cant score more then our defense gives up.

When you evaluate the offense and its players you do so on their own merits, not the faults of the other side of the ball.

Cowboys offense an elite offense in the NFL. Top 5 no question about it. Defense is what needs scrutinizing. Mahomes isnt walking through that door.

well, we didn't end up in the last place, but they are always next year. "we can do it."

team will be ok, reload and move forward to next season
