Its obvious why. They cant stop the run or the pass. Do you think its some kind of mystery?

Surely you cant be insinuating that the defense is bad because the passing offense is soo good?
Defense is horrible
Offense is horrible
There is no mystery

Tom Brady started off w/ Arians' high flying downfield passing game. And Brady was getting pounded. Would not have lasted the season. And wasn't winning. So, TB changes to a Bradyesque type O, and suddenly starts winning. D suddenly gets better. And Brady is in the super bowl.

If TB does not change up their O, they would absolutely not be where they are today. Not even close. Prolly wouldn't have made playoffs.

Its more likely that in the beginning of the year, Brady simply wasnt on the same page with the offense and as the season went on, they all got more comfortable with each other. And the deep passing game is NOT to Brady's strength so if they did change it up, it was probably for that reason.

Winning time of possession helps. But you either have a good D or you dont. Getting down by 10 in the first quarter because your defense cant stop anyone is going to hurt your offense. Then the offense has to be one dimensional because your defense sucks. Then that is where the high passing numbers come from.

The simple solution is to improve your defense, not change your offense because your defense sucks.
It's not true Roy. ATL had a very good D when they played NE in the super bowl. But that D was done by the 4th. Scoring too quickly.

This is a theme that runs throughout NFL history. Even the high flying Rams in 99 needed Faulk and the 4th ranked D to win. Did you know that Faulk got O player of the year in 1999? Pretty amazing for a passing team!!! In 99, Faulk rushed for 1,381 yds and then just for kicks, caught 87 passes for 1,048 yds. Ball control.

Offense is one of the best in the NFL when Dak is leading it. In fact, the first 4 games of this year it was the best offense in NFL history.

Stopping the opposing offense is the best defense. If your worried about your defense then score some points with your offense early and get a lead. Brady made a living out of possessing the ball with the passing game.

It is.. But in todays league? Good luck...

No, dude, they changed the O. It was talked about at the time.

Yes, the long game is not to Brady's strength. Changing to the ball control O made the D much better and TB started winning.

I'm curious. Why are you so against this idea? Just being contrary?

Who said anything about scoring quickly? Fact of the matter is that with the Oline issues and Zeke fading, the run game is no longer the strength of the Cowboys offense. Its now Dak and those receivers and the passing game with Moore. When the Cowboys pound Zeke they struggle. When they Dak and the passing game is the focus they score lots of points.

Fix the D, its pretty simple.

No, it's not. Fix the D, and make sure the O moves the chains consistently.

What idea are you talking about that I am against? You started off saying that our defense sucked because of our great passing offense. This is where the argument ensued. Now your going off on tangents about Brady and scoring quickly.

Brady is old............throwing the ball 50 times a game is not good for him. Belli knew this and went to a heavier run game late his career as well.

Im not revisiting history, and Im not suggesting that Dak will be anything near 100 percent. That would be a fools errand, nobody knows,, you only hope.
I dont base evaluations off of a random posters hopes.
Nobody know how Dak will return,, only you hope its for the best.
His injury was significant to say the least.

The O does move the chains consistently. They were the #1 offense in the NFL under Dak.

Only thing that needs to be fixed on this team is the defense. You going to pound Zeke when its not working?

Im not concerned. I'm sure you will be rooting for it to be career altering so Dak will be dumped. LOL

Yes, he did. Which helped his D tremendously.

And when Brady went to a high octane passing attack in 07? Lost to a ball control D team. And got hurt.

Over and over and over, this is what happens.

Not on your life,, I hope Dak recovers 110 percent and is ready to roll.
You make way too many assumptions

I just watched the Tampa D win the game and keeping Rogers, Adams, and Jones grounded for most of the day.

I also saw the KC D limit Allen and the offense to FG's. Saw Diggs get grounded.

Happens every day in the NFL. You seem acknowledge or ignore the defense when its convenient for you.

Arent you the guy that wants to dump Dak so his money can be used to fix the defense in FA?

Get playmakers and dawgs on defense. No more Trysten Hill immature, mental midget types. Donovan, Diggs and Gallimore is trending in the right direction. They need to continue that with free agency and the draft.

There was a time when we had one of the better defenses in the league and it still wasn't enough. Trysten Hill's biggest downfalls might be he's just not good enough to play the position he's asked to. He's not a "mental midget". He represents what you'd want from a rookie. Come into the league and get better. He got better from year 1 to year 2....Cowboys are trying to win now and don't have the personnel to do it especially on defense. And I'm not even sure if they have the coach at this point. They surely didn't last year.

Sorry, I'm not interested in the kiddie games you guys love to play.

O's that score too quickly gas the D and generally ends up losing you the game when you face good teams. No idea how you keep missing this. I'm guessing it's because you don't want to see it.

Dak and the passing attack are one of the best in the NFL and the strength of the team. Sorry, there is no downside to that and certainly they arent the reason the defense sucks.

You are a Dak troll and hater. Your history shows that. Pretty easy assumption.

What? They're obviously trying to build a team that is built around a potent passing offense.

As an aside, the Saints haven't had a good offense in years, and the Ravens aren't any better contenders than the Cowboys are, when healthy.
Saints have one the NFC South 4 straight seasons, been in the divisional round playoffs 3 times, lost an NFCCG in OT.
