He underestimated how stupid the Rams were. It is the same team that traded 2 1st's for a cornerback. I felt the same way. I thought teams would wait for the Lions to cut Stafford. I'm trying to figure out how they fleeced the Rams to not only I've up those picks but Goff as well.
You know what's funny is that they remind me of how Jerry use to run the Cowboys. Making foolish trades trying to win like we are one piece away when we aren't....this like 2010 Jerry Jones to me.You are completely right! But maybe I live vicariously through them because I feel like we do nothing, think we are set and then end up in the mediocre zone another year. I mean when we’re we in Rd 2 of the playoffs

I understand all of the above which Is why I'm questioning the trade for Stafford if they want to win now?
They are reporting that seven teams spoke with the Lions about Stafford. He underestimated how stupid the Rams were. It is the same team that traded 2 1st's for a cornerback. I felt the same way. Well...there's a learning moment here. As word is something like 6 teams offered a 1st or more.
But, who knows...maybe you'll be proved right and all those GM's will look silly.
Well damn....so if this is Stafford's trade value than maybe even Carson Wentz has trade value too....One of the firsts likely equates to dumping Goff's contract and guaranteed money.
True. That's the risk/reward though isn't it.
I guess it depends upon your valuation of Matt Stafford. E.g. Aaron Rodgers indicates that he's one of the best out there whereas some beer guzzling fans who haven't been able to see their Johnson in over 20 years think he's a bum..gee I wonder who is in a better position to judge...
Stafford is more likely to be good in 2021 than a rookie, and I'd include Lawrence in that.
Those who believe Dallas cannot get two first for Prescott are not reading the QB market correctly, injury or not.
I mean this is what they say after every deal made. Bears thought teams were trying to trade up for a quarterback the year they traded up for Trubisky. This league clearly thinks more of Stafford than I do. Hell than the Lions do as well apparently. The actual team that sees him everyday lol. They are reporting that seven teams spoke with the Lions about Stafford.
Seven.
I wonder if Whitworth will delay the retirement!Stafford is one of the most talented QBs in the last several years, from the standpoint of being able to throw the ball. I believe that but I also believe that he is not a guy who can take a lot of hits in the NFL anymore. You will have to protect him. He can't afford to take a lot of hits IMO.
Agree completely and for some reason I miss it. Because now I’m not sure our plan

But if Watson wants to be traded than how much higher would you have to trade to get him? Because I thought two 1st's and a 3rd would get him done....apparently all it gets you is Matthew Stafford. Hell a 1st could get you Sam Bradford a few years ago lol.Stafford is more likely to be good in 2021 than a rookie, and I'd include Lawrence in that.
And the price for QB in top 3 draft would be much higher.
