The biggest takeaways that I got from this game was that defence still wins championships and you have to be balanced on offense. The Bucs won the Super Bowl because they played elite defence from basically start to finish, and because the Chiefs didn't run the football. Jason Pierre-Paul, Vita Vea, and Lamonte David were in Mahomes' face pretty much the entire time. They took away Tyreek Hill and basically told the Chiefs to try to beat them without Hill. The end result was 9 points. Meanwhile, the Chiefs couldn't stop the run at all, and Brady was able to rip them apart as a result. Morale of the story: play balanced offense and build this defence. If you want to have a chance, make the defence afraid of both the run and pass. On the other side of the ball, play good defence, and you'll typically win. Jerry Jones needs to build this defence this off-season so we can have a chance to compete next season.
TAMPA wasn't going to be denied. Forget the missing tackles..lol just stop. It was such a complete arse whoopin. No doubt. Defense "AND" starting caliber offensive tackles.
Not the Steeles and Knights of the world. So there's that to think about too, lol.
Flip a coin in Jerry's case because the results all seem to blend into a heaping pile of no post season success this past quarter century.
This is a very good comparison as I agree last year's Niners team did have the best defense but lost.
if you have a stout D , you dont have to have Pat Mahomes to win a SB. Just a smart good QB that isnt afraid to make a play. Sunday proved that again in spades.
bingo, I agree. SIGN THE MAN.Exactly! And it was amazing how effortless the Bucs made it to stop Mahomes. And I have good news. We HAVE a QB that is smart and unafraid to make a play. What he needs is the defence to not be completely incompetent.
Which is why we have to go “all Defense”! No offensive skill positions! We get Dak, Jarwin and a healthier OL and we’ll be fine on O. Fix the D!
it starts with the front 4. the front 4 to 7 put constant pressure on Mahomes and he was running for his life all night, reminded me of the first Giants-Patriots superbowl. they played a lot of zone in the back, taking away areas deep from Hill who was frustrated. The biggest takeaways that I got from this game was that defence still wins championships and you have to be balanced on offense. Common sense.......................How can you ever beat the Mahomes of the world? Better have a good defense.
You need a top 10 QB and a top 5 defense. THAT is how teams should be built in todays NFL.

Though the Chiefs O line was seriously weakened. If they had the same O line they ended the season with this game would have been a lot closer. Still think TB would have won because they were on fire but it would have been a game.it starts with the front 4. the front 4 to 7 put constant pressure on Mahomes and he was running for his life all night, reminded me of the first Giants-Patriots superbowl. they played a lot of zone in the back, taking away areas deep from Hill who was frustrated.
We watched a D win that game and should have been the MVP, just like the Giants D against the 18-0 Pats. The GOAT ain't so great getting his butt clobbered and he wouldn't have been last might of the Chiefs had played him instead of his receivers.
We watched the D, Booger watched a showdown between Brady and Mahomes, the stars.
Neither one of those teams is playing last night without their high powered offenses getting them there.
Great QBs can carry about half the defenses in the NFL to a Super Bowl.
Tampas defense is a pretty standard NFL defense.. Solid.
I actually will argue differently. Yes, having Brady helps, but they don't beat Green Bay or KC without their defence. That's why they won the title. Brady didn't exactly play great against the Packers. His defence was a huge reason why they won. The defence made a mockery of the Chiefs offense like the Legion of Boom did to the Broncos. The conclusion I took from the game is that we need to make our defence at least competent.
Dallas has already proved we aren't willing to pay for it. We'd rather give the offense these big contracts and then complain when teams put 40+ on us.
It’s a good defense.. I’m not denying that. But if Dallas had that defense it’s not getting us anywhere different.

The Dallas D would not have even been able to exploit the missing OL for KC.
TB outsmarted KC because Reid can't prevent being who he's always been, the pass happy fool that wasted a lot of Westbrook's career.
There were two distinctively different D concepts on display last night and Bowles was smarter because he broke his own mold on blitzing. He decided Hill and often, Kelce, would not be the big play factors and Reid failed to get Davis-Hellaire into the forefront. TB was rushing 4 and playing doubles against the two receivers and the middle of the field would have been Davis-Hellaire territory. LSU used him better than KC.
Spagnuolo had no fall back plan when the refs revealed how they were going to call the game in the secondary. Bowles just played his game plan all night with great effect. Helps tp have guys that know how to tackle.
