What is everyone's take on Rashawn Slater? Seems like he has the ability to play all 5 positions on the offensive line, and after our series of injuries across the line last season, I could see that being a very valuable addition.

NO. If we do that I’ll make Hiroshima look like an M-80. We already have 27 guys who can play OG or C - we need a starting LT. Slater isn’t it. He’s gonna be kicked inside to OG by whoever takes him. Give me Darrisaw or the big kid from Ohio U.

If we're going tackle, I'd rather have Darrisaw.

Marcus Mosher changed my mind yesterday; Slater is special, but the list of tackles who've even been drafted into the league at 6'3" is tiny.

Slater will be a Pro Bowler center or guard, but we are set on the interior of our line for at least two more years IMO, so the need is just non existent.

I'd rather draft Darrisaw as a tackle prospect, but he's probably depth only year 1. The good thing about Slater is that he gives you a heck of a lot of options with your OL.

Nice link but all of those were 3rd rounders. Why is Slater being seen by everyone as a 1? He must do something different. I suck at oline grading so I'm just saying

He played well against Chase Young in 2019.

If Slater is on the board at 10 I say there's an 50% chance he's the pick.
The other 50% will be Farley or Surtain.

The wildcard is Kyle Pitts.

Count me in. He reminds me of Zach Martin. Sure, could play Tackle, but might be special within the interior. He can play all 5 positions and upgrade the OL as a whole day 1. Really would like the team to be able to run the ball better, adding a Slater can do that.

If Parsons/Farley/Surtain are gone, I'll consider it. Not my target by any means and think we could do worse, but just worried that our defense needs an influx of talent.

Gives you a little concern but his tape against Young makes it a wash IMO.

I’d honestly be fine with Slater or Darrisaw at 10. Even if you’re telling me Slater is a G with all pro potential do it.

Replace Williams with a stud on a rookie deal.

Damn it, now you're talking me into Slater again.

As long as we keep drafting O heavily in the first, we simply aren't going anywhere. Having to draft an OL due to need in the 1st here or there is fine, but we desperately need D, both game changers and solid players.

He’s not my preference...but he’s a legit 1st rounder.

If guys like Farley, Parsons and Ojulari are gone...I’d be down with Slater.

I’d just hate to see us reach on a defender if someone like him is clearly a better talent.

We have plenty of ammo this draft. I dont think either way we go in the first round will hinder the rest of the draft
