OMG.. and that just translates to ... Oh My Gosh.. for those that prefer to be spiritually correct these days..
I will end this conversation with you now because you are either having a really bad day, or you just simply went nuts.. which is understandable, I wish you the best.
No, I’ve been supportive of Goodell for years. The remarkable success he steered the league thru this season under unchartered waters and tremendous challenges places a stamp of success on his tenure that I’m certain history will favorably reflect on him.

And ultimately Jethro backed down once the owners threatened to pursue and take action against him.

He needed to put in his place. He was out of control. No one owner is bigger than the league.

I was hoping Jethro of continued pursuing it and the owners would have voted his sorry butt out of the league for good.

no one ever thinks they're the villain in their own story...
I feel very comfortable and certain history will be on my side and Goodell will be considered a great Commish during some of the toughest issues in NFL history ending with his induction into the HOF.

The villains are the fans who can’t see the forest for the trees.

I'm just going to say this. To me it's obvious he's helped play his part in degrading the league. Because of this stark difference of opinion this is why things on a larger scale can never be seen eye to eye. One side critiques, the other side ignores the flaws and puts blame on everything else.
He’s saved the league from further damage. Most see it if they’re able to look beyond their personal grievances .

this may be true, but if that is strictly the case then Goodell either represents poor morals or is a spineless coward. Either way he gets no praise.
Of course he represents poor morals.

Imagine if the owners individually had to take out their own dirty laundry and police themselves. The image would be so much more tarnished .

Some fans might be pleased but the price would be felt as sponsors walk away not wanting to be associated with a business or entity not taking action against unlawful and or unacceptable conduct much like we’ve seen against other public personalities.

Ty, you are way too smart to fall for the owner's manipulation of giving you a fall guy. It's not Roger doing all those things you are referring to, it's the owners.
Sorry my friend, but on this point I can not agree with you.

So, it’s your position that Goodell is acting on his own going against the wishes of his employer the NFL owners.

And his employer is so happy he’s going against their wishes they are rewarding him instead of firing him. Please explain..

Goodell deserves much credit for not only steering the league thru this seasons pandemic but really the most difficult era Id argue in NFL history as it continue to transcend with the times including all of the issues it’s confronted with in society.

I know he’s received criticism for his disciplinary actions of players but that’s a critical part of the success he’s been able to achieve overcoming theses social unrest the league and its players have encountered which has divided some of our fans as they have walked away as a result.

But he’s stayed the course protecting the Iconic label and its owners interest. And every decision in the long run appears the right decision for the league.

But the way he handled this pandemic with strict guidelines fining HC’s for not wearing mask initially and the protocols to avoid not cancelling any games which no other league can claim is truly remarkable.

He’s going to be an early lock for HOF. And history is going to reflect generously on him perhaps before he’s done surpassing Rozelle as greatest Commish ever.

Yea, I said it here first.

Goodell is reactionary, unprincipled, arbitrary, and lacks vision.

The only reason the NFL handled COVID well is because its season starts in the fall and enjoyed over 6 months of watching others before starting.

You attribute success with no basis. His discipline policy has been a trainwreck. Dude doesn't hold a candle to even Tagliabue.

You've got to be kidding, Greg???

Are you serious?

This guy has been THE WORST commissioner BY FAR in the history of the NFL.

I could name all the bad he has done, but some involves disgraceful political decisions that are not allowed to be discussed in here.

This guy is a joke!

Goodell? I realize pot is legal in many states. But save some for others.

The only pertinent perspective is that of the owners.

The fans perspective is misdirected at the Commish instead of the owners which illustrates how great of job he’s doing . And why the owners rewarded him.
the fans are the straw that stirs the drink, period. There will be no NFL if the fans are basically priced out and forgotten. It will be their fatal flaw.
