Can someone point me to a game where he is showcasing his arm.

The guy is one heck of an athlete but I’m struggling to find games with him making a lot of plays with his arm..

I don’t really care about deep throws too.. Deep throws are overrated.. Most QBs should be able to make that throw..

I want to see more intermediate passes.

With the talk of the Dak deal and my opinion about his deal becoming more mainstream I’m starting to wonder if drafting a QB is a real possibility.

Hands down one of the most overhyped prospects this year. He may turn into a good one, but he's a loooong ways away from that. The fact hes going top-10 in some mocks blows my mind. This dude is a second round prospect.
That means nothing to catch. He has proven time and time again he knows NOTHING when talking about the QB position.

Lance needs the Mahomes 2017 treatment IMO. He has to sit and develop for a year IMO. He could be a good trade up option for a team like Pittsburgh, who can afford to sit him and still have a QB. I dont think he is a great option for us if we move on from Dak

What makes him overhyped?

LOL they aren't taking a QB, CATCH.

Just embrace the reality.

This kid looks like one of those yearly prospects that someone hypes and then everyone else jumps on board so they can hopefully say they were right. He's a single-read RPO athlete. He could absolutely become something special, but there is no way I'm dropping a high first rounder on a kid like this. Not enough starts. Not enough snaps. Not enough performances against elite competition. So many red flags for me.

He's got a great arm and is a great athlete though. Dak Prescott honestly had a more impressive college career and we got him in the fourth.

You don't draft based on what a player is right now, especially not at QB.

Does he have upside/tools? Yes. It's no different than Pat Mahomes or Josh Allen.

Yep Future, I was gonna compare Lance to Josh Allen.

If Dallas was to draft Lance, Andy Dalton would be right there to sign as the QB1/Mentor.

If a QB isnt an Andrew Luck level prospect, fans will say he is overhyped

lol kinda like how before the season I called this Justin Fields thing perfectly? Even having Zach Wilson as my #2 before that was a thing?

Know your role please.

I actually think Lance's pro comp is Deshaun Watson. He's got live legs and can scramble. He throws a nice ball with good zip and good accuracy. He's got the tools to be a quality starter for a long time.

But not having a season this year means his sample size is still limited. The competition wasn't the greatest - he carved them up to be sure, but could he do it against the SEC?

He's not a guy you throw right out there - I think Carolina is his ceiling, floor is maybe New England. I think he's solidly the #4 QB out there.

I could see a team looking for a more immediate starter and making a bad call on Jones over Lance. Would kind of remind of Ponder getting grossly overdrafted in 2011 because he was "NFL ready"

Another bash Dak thread. Look up the definition of insanity.
