Or maybe you're just wrong.

If you don't have a quarterback, you do not have a SB winning team. It's that simple. Getting those picks isn't upside, it's a consolation prize.
Do you honestly believe that Dak is the best we can do at the position?
If we signed Dak, do you honestly believe this roster is anywhere close to being even playoff worthy?

Yes. For the most part. Teams that have been signing QBs to stupid contracts have been regretting it rather quickly more often than not.

For example: see the Rams and Goff
For example: see Houston and Watson
For example: see the Eagles and Wentz
For example: see the trade talk about Seattle and the fighting Russell Wilsons
For example: see the trade talk with Vegas and Carr

Rams just switched out one high salary for another
Houston and Watson's issues have nothing to do with his pay.
Eagles and Wentz had a falling out, or Wentz would still be there.
Seattle and Wilson's issue is not about money
The Carr switch, is not about money.

All of those guys, you mentioned have large contracts, except Dak, but none of their issues are money related.

Yes
Yes. Obviously. If the O is healthy last year they win the division easily. Any critique you have about Dallas you can also apply to Seattle and GB.

Swap Dak and Wilson or Watson and the results are exactly the same. I can't fathom how people think that this team is better with, like, Jimmy G. It's entirely disconnected from what the NFL is right now.

It's more similar to Andy Reid trading up for Mahomes when he already had Alex Smith. The Chiefs were good enough to make the playoffs every year and lose. If we get the 2nd overall pick Zach Wilson history can repeat itself.
Ok but Alex Smith sucked and Dallas can't get to #2 anyway.

There’s been numerous analysis of QB 1st round draft picks and their success rates. LAFB looked at all of the 1st round picks between 2007 and 2018 and found that only 19% are considered franchise QBs, 19% were considered average and 61% were busts.

The BR analyzed 67 1st round QBs and found that 58% were busts while 30% went on to be successful. The percentages of busts is pretty consistent at right around 60% which is why you never never let a franchise QB walk.

If...the biggest word in the Dictionary. That is the thing, if everyone on the team is healthy and the best, Dak will thrive, but he does not want that, he wants money, so the team cannot get better.

I know mindless bias when I see it. All I see here is one who cannot come up with new takes for going on 2 years and can only speak for others he has no business doing so to prop his position.

Looks at their respective pick rates. Dak has never thrown into coverage like Winston does. Dak has never been as inaccurate. Dak has improved his mechanics every year.
Ok Fuzzy better hope 31 GM feels the same way when Prescott hits the FA market.

Exactly what could Stephen or Jerry have done to call France's bluff? They can't hold a gun to his head so what was this big mechanism the Cowboys had that would have called France's bluff?
.
.
I don't think France had any intention of taking anything beyond a 4 year deal.

Wrong.

Besides, we literally just saw what type of catastrophic effects injuries can have across the OL - and how it influences QB play - in the Super Bowl. This board has the wrong takeaway from that game. It's not that defense wins, it's that offenses can lose.

Some QB 1st round picks last 12 years

Trubisky #2
Goff #1
Wentz #2
Lynch #26
Winston #1
Mariota #2
Bortles #3
Manziel #22
Bridgewater 32
EJ Manuel 16
RG3 2
Weeden 22
Locker 8
Gabbert 10
Ponder 12
Bradford 1
Tebow 25
Sanchez 5
Freeman 17

A lot of wasted draft resources there. Never let franchise QBs walk unless you have one already on your roster.

Right.

lol...uh, so how do the Cowboys get a better defense or a better offense with no money because Dak is sitting in a 3.3 million dollar, 7 acre house, yet wants more and more and more. Losing games is never Dak's fault.

Not being able to improve the roster is because of COVID not Dak.

They get better just by getting healthy.

If you think Dak is the reason they lose games, then there's really no point in investing in the defense. It's not worth crying about his house.

And this is an example of how you Dak fans think...Dak has never lost a game as a Cowboy.

We could get lucky and receive 2 first round picks for him. The Colts traded for Wentz so they're out of the running. The Saints don't have enough cap room. Maybe a team like the Panthers (8th pick), Jets (2nd pick), or Broncos (9th pick) sign him.

Keep dreaming. Dak isnt going anywhere. Your shame will continue to matter how much you cry about it.
