My only fear is if Prescott accepts a low deal as even he knows how underqualified he is for the job.
Dak is pretty much road-kill at this point in Big D!
I agree. The only worry is if Prescott stops over rating himself and accepts a more than reasonable offer. I guess we just have to sit tight and hope he stands firm.

Dak isn't a bad QB, but the guy hasn't won anything that makes him worth 37 million. What has he won? Good guy, but the dude will not bring us a ring.

I know this thread is similar to previous threads, but I beg of you Jerry. Do NOT sign him to a new contract. I'm good with a QB in draft and having him learn behind Dalton for a year or two. Dalton is cheaper and almost as efficient.

Dallas should have 2-4 more seasons before the rebuild.

Zeke, Coop, TSmith, ZMartin, DLaw, Jaylon all will be approaching the end of their careers .

Keep Dak for at least 4 years.

Dallas will probably dump his contract at that time in order to rebuild.

win now.

But you Dak-lovers are quick to point out his win/loss record when it fits your agenda. You can’t have it both ways. The QB position does have more direct effect on wins and losses than any other position on the team, but is you give Dak credit for the wins during the 2016 season, he also has to take the blame for the number of wins declining every year since then.
I’ve never given Dak all the credit for his wins.

So if anyone dares question the mindset behind signing Dak to a large contract they should go follow ANOTHER TEAM????? Yeah, cancel culture at its finest.
No just anyone like you who’s every post is to crap on Dak.

Well, the point is that Dalton can get us the same 8 wins Dak got us in 2019. The difference is that signing Dalton allows us far more cap space to improve the defense. This team is loaded on offense no matter who plays QB. We will go as far as the defense takes us.

Exactly.

I would totally be down with rolling with Dalton in 2021. I agree Dalton isn't our future, but for a cheap 1-2 year stopgap instead of Dak's price? Easy decision.

What's funny is the same guys that said Dalton is better than Dak and happy to have a real QB before they watched him play this year are these same ones now saying Dak isn't that much better than Dak after they watched Dalton played...... you guys just won't admit you were wrong.

Facts are Dak is a top 10 QB in the league and closer to top 5 than 10.

"Winning" is a team objective in a team sport. Dak is just one individual. There is no such thing as Superman who makes a bad team great. When the team gets turned around, Dak is a good enough QB to win Super Bowls.

As soon as you suggested Dak is a Top 5 QB you lost all credibility.

Dalton is almost as good as Dak? Did you even watch the games last year or were you on the game thread spewing nonsense?
dak is 6-11 the last 17 games he started , and that is a painful fact. He started 1-4 last year ( 20% winning percentage ) Dalton at 3 miliion a year had a winning percentage of 40% the rest of the year.

Dak was 6-11 in his last 17 games. Not sure why he is worth 35-40 mil . Now after his injury , it is even arguable he will be slower and will be more susceptible to injuries. No thanks. with an atrocious defense like the cowboys have , the money should go on that side. just see what the bucs did with a stout DL

You sure this is going to be your last plea to Jerry?
You're not dying, are you?
