No team is trading anything for Dak.
No team is signing Dak to jack squat. Other than Jerry maybe tagging Dak out of loyalty.

Dak can’t pass a physical. Show me one GM who will sign a QB of maybe above average talent and one playoff win in 5 years to a $200M contract with no guarantee the QB can even be ready for the opener.
Unless someone has a line to every GM in the league, how can anyone dispute this?

And the latest reports are showing the Cowboys are confident in Dak's rehab. So why are you hanging your hat on his physical, that unless you're his doctor, you have no knowledge of him passing or failing?

Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't Romo get a max deal with a severe injury history? So to answer your question, JJ.

They could've used other QB's as leverage.. They could've had serious negotiations with Brady.

They also could've used the tag that allowed other teams to negotiate with him.

Instead they just franchised him.

Could have traded Dak *last* year, as we had a starting quality QB for cheap on the bench. Don't have that option this year.

They *should* have tried to lock in Dalton for future years with an option for low starting level money, letting him know that an option extension was his ticket to starting last year.

Good! They have to give us picks! The ultimate win for us.

That is our way out of this mess.

Exactly! A smart post.

You either think Dak is an elite player which I LOL at or you just don't care cause you're a fan of his and you don't think the cap matters at all and sadly there is people out there still like that.

Meanwhile Goff, Wentz, Russell, and Watson's teams are all trying to figure out what they are going to do going forward and realizing that they can't build squat around these guys they paid like this.

Goff and Wentz are gone and Russell and Watson are crying about not having enough around them.

Texans are desperately trying to keep Watson.

Been saying this for months.......Jerry and Stephen are facing TWO deadlines to the long-term deal completed before ALL their leverage disappears, March 9 and draft day. After the draft, they'll have zero leverage, none.

Yet who was it two years ago that was telling us all we should not sign dak and make him earn it?

now those same trolls are cutting up management for waiting.

Lol it was so obvious last year the Jones’s needed to use leverage in this situation but of course they were gentlemen in the negotiations and Dak’s agent took them for fools.

The Jones’s have gotten played if they do a deal at this point and we are a worse team for it.

Sign and trade is our only hope.

Doing the deal at this point just makes us a non Super Bowl contender for even longer.

LOL. I love when fans pretend their fan boy players have all the leverage.

No other team can offer Prescott what he has here. The biggest stage in the NFL with a fake front office delusionally devoted to him.
They can't be a fake front office with all the talent that's on this team. Ridiculous Haha

I just want to get back to the unity we had during the Romo era. The divider must go.

Not sure whom you are calling "divider."

Dak is a great uniter, but Wormtongues are now his counsel.

I wouldnt even feel comfortable giving dak a 4 year 28mil. per contract after that Injury. I'd have to see him play again on the tag. Also you could see what other teams are willing to give up for him at the same time.

@Hawkeye0202 I have been saying for months Dak faces the two deadlines also when it comes to leverage.

Dak will not be able to pass a physical by the beginning of FA. No team is offering jack squat for Dak in his present condition. So, Dak has no leverage because Jerry can let him go as a UFA and no one will sign.

Dak will not be able to pass a physical by the draft. Teams will solidify their QB situation through FA and the draft.

Once FA and the draft are over, how many teams will be looking for a QB wanting $110M guaranteed, $40M/year on a 5-year contract with a cap reduced to $180M and said QB just had a horrific injury and a second hidden surgery on the deltoid ligament in Dec? And said QB is just of average to above average talent and hasn’t succeeded without loaded offensive talent.

Dak has no leverage until he can pass a physical? Any idea when that will be? Any evidence Dak will not open the season on PUP?

Dak has no leverage if the Cowboys draft a QB at 10.

Jerry and the FO have plenty of leverage if they do choose to use it. More of a public relations problem for Jerry right now. The ‘church of Dak’ will be upset if Jerry calls Dak’s bluff and lets him explore the market. The ‘church of Dak’ worshippers will be upset because Jerry was not ‘loyal’ to Dak while injured. If Jerry pays Dak $37M on the tag and Dak can’t play until game 8 then Jerry screwed the team’s chance of success this year. The players want Dak signed and don’t care if Dak can’t play the first 8 games. All about money and loyalty for Dak and the players. Not about winning championships. Same with many fans.

Wirfs allowing 1 sack all season is statistical fact. You telling me how he would have fared behind our makeshift line is opinion.
Brady knows how to get rid of the ball quick to avoid sacks. And you saying Brady wouldn’t last behind our line is also an opinion.

No its a fact. Brady isnt mobile and with our playbook WR's arent open fast. I dont know if you have watched a recent cowboys game but we for some reason love the slow developing routes.

No quarterback deserved to operate behind our woeful line last year, let alone Brady. If Brady were a Cowboy last season he would be hoisting the white surrender flag instead of the Super-Bowl trophy.

Lol, people still believe this about Dalton?

Like what is the goal if you are playing him as your starter? It's certainly not to try to win a Super Bowl.
