How do you know what he’s about? Millions of Americans every day are negotiating in some way to better their lives whether they’re millionaire athletes or minimum wage workers trying to get a better wage. That is America get over it. Let’s not pretend we know him well enough to take a personal shot at him.

And Dak has taken some hits over the years that would make other QBs break in two. These guys want to make sure the reward is worth the risk they’re taking. QBs are getting paid and that’s the business side of it. Get over that too.

Oh right. Thats what this is ........... nailed it. Dak is just negotiating "a better life" just like everyone else. Poor guy has to play a contact sport for 6 months a year. lol

He made more last year than 99% of the population makes in their entire lifetime. So yes, lets side with Dak and to heck with the other 51 guys and the salary cap.

Again I’m on board with keeping dak I think he’s still getting better. But to say that Wilson isn’t better is a little crazy in my opinion. Russel Wilson is one stupid play call away from being a 2 time sb champ. Despite having lack of talent around him since those Super Bowls... despite playing in a very good division for a good part of that... the hawks are always a playoff team.

One thing Russ does is he’ll take shots deep 8-10 times a game. That’s something I want from dak.

I'm no expert...and I don;t watch Wilson a lot.....but he also seems to be able to outsmart Ds more. I can't say if that is coaching or my imagination or what....We seem to have to bully and (often) stumble our way while he looks so smooth.

Yep..take the deep shots, keep the D honest and spread. Note that I (nor you, I believe) did not say he's incapable of it.

You can’t get bent out of shape every time a professional athlete gets a big contract. It happens in every sport all the time.

I want Dak.

BUT... for WIlson I'd give up Dak + Zeke + Jaylon Smith

Sign Poona Ford (DT), Duke Johnson (RB), BJ Goodson (LB) and Ruben Foster (LB)

Trading draft picks for an aging player with a big contract on a team with a lot of holes seems like a ridiculous proposition.

Trading Zeke means you have to take an additional cap hit of $1.2 million this year. Smith saves you like $400K. That's how bad their contracts are.

Russell Wilson IS a better player than Dak, but he's significantly older and a part of his game is predicated on being mobile, which will decline as he gets deeper into his 30s. Trading for Wilson would be a move to make if you feel like you can win NOW

if no deal could be reached...i'd do a trade involving Dak and the 10th pick.
thats it.
no more players thrown in.
no more picks.
i ain't sean mcvay.

but if this team doesnt want to pay Dak....they won't like wilson's price any better.
its better to just get a deal done with Dak.
They want to pay Dak,, there is much more to term than most want to even begin to try and understand.
Dallas could care less about a few million, the money is irrelevant.

Dak and a cheeseburger, nothing more. Russ is great, but won't help this team on D. He isn't coming here, nor should he unless we toss in a large fries and applie pie as well

John Clayton said on ESPN radio that he would be surprise if the Hawks trade Wilson as he would count 39 mil against the cap and he is owed 32 mil this year. He said they are already up against the cap and will probably lose some players due to it but have to restructures others like Bobby Wagner to keep the ones they want. Subtracting 7 mil by trading Wilson would not be beneficial to the team. Just FYI.

I could literally care less if Dak makes 50M or 5 bucks. What I don't get is "fans" who prioritize Dak's financial well being over the competitive interests of the Dallas Cowboys.
