I would actually find it ironically hilarious if Dak went to Washington and dominated this division next 3-4 years.
I would find it sad but sadly I’d enjoy it because I think that would be it for Jerry. He’d officially hire a GM to run this team....at least I’d hope.

To me, the Jets are the team. Dak to NY is a match made in heaven PR wise. The Jets have a pretty good personnel core, outside of QB. They can afford Dak's salary, they have the key pieces needed to make a deal with the Cowboys and they can offer Dak and France the things they want to transition upwards if Dak leaves Dallas, assuming Dak can win. I mean, if you win in NY, there is no better, more lucrative place to be. That's just the truth.

So, the key is, do they believe that Dak is the guy or not? If they believe Dak is their guy, is a #2 overall, a 2nd round pick and Darnold to much to spend? Watson, who they have been linked to would cost them, reportedly, three 1st round picks and two 2nds plus a starter. So if you think the difference between Watson and Dak is minimal, then Dak is a bargain by any measure, IMO.

I, personally think that's cheap if you believe that Dak is your guy. If they don't believe that, then of course it's too much but then again, if they believe that an unproven rookie is a better option for them, then don't you have to ask if Dak really is a Franchise QB worth a contract like he reportedly wants?

It's an interesting question, to me.

I think the Jets have too many needs to think Dak prescott and his looming contract fixes them. I think you will see Fields or Wilson in their camp

I can imagine a team with a lower pick going in on Dak but #2 overall would suprise me. Im not that familiar with the Jets but they don't have a lot of offensive talent. If Dak goes there it's going to be uphill for him.

Someone else mentioned Denver. I think he'd be great with those weapons.

Denver is a underrated great spot for him.

Ditto. Not that I would actually “enjoy” it but I wouldn’t be able to help but laugh at Jerry and all those who think Dak is a scrub and can be easily replaced.

I became curious which teams might be interested in Dak (in any degree) and I have narrowed the list of teams down to these (although the list might be shorter)--in no particular order:

Bears (High need, low pick--contender with Dak--stud defense)
Saints (High need. low pick--contender with Dak-but salary cap issues might prohibit)
49ers (High need)
Washington FT (High need, Danny Boy wants to be relevant again, division rival--stud defense)
Dolphins (High need)

Panthers (Medium)
Vikings (Medium)
Patriots (Medium)
Giants (Medium--high need, but very high pick))

Falcons (Low)
Detroit (Low)
Packers (Low)
Eagles (Low--cap and Hurts)

Broncos (Unsure)
Raiders (Unsure)

There are a few teams (Jets and Jags) that probably wouldn't give up two very high picks that would otherwise be on this list. This is off the cuff, and some of these may have factors which would eliminate them from this discussion.
They arent going to give him a non exclusive tag

Washington are stacked - Brian Hoyer would run riot there. But you make a good point although inadvertently. Given how hard Washington pursued Cooper, Dallas will overpay for Prescott to keep him away from Washington.

Perhaps......

QB is theoretically solved if you bring in Dak. This is the deepest WR class I can remember so those guys will be there later or, there will be plenty available in FA and remember, the Jets took Mims in the 2nd last year. CB is a need only because they played young CBs last season. What the Jets really need is a Vet CB. Jets took Zuniga at DE last year, another pass rusher might be a play but which pass rusher are you gonna take 2nd overall? Jets took Perine in the 4th last year, they will draft another guy in the same area this year, if they draft one at all. They aren't spending a high pick on a RB IMO. TE and LB, I could see that but are either one of those position more important then getting a QB you believe is your guy? Are both of those position more important?

Do you think Belichick would even consider paying Prescott what he wants? He wouldn't pay Brady market rate.
Don't know but they don't really have anybody there right now. Desperate times sometimes brings desperate measures.

Exactly. No chance the Patriots would pay for Prescott if they wouldn't pay Brady. Come on let's not joke around.

Panthers the most likely suitors and a good fit for Prescott. Denver will probably give Lock another season so yes Panthers would appear our best chance of a tag and trade but I don't think Prescott would agree as he overrates himself and importance.

Naw, they won't overpay. No sense in destroying a whole team for one average QB.
Ok I can see that. I was not thinking money but just teams that would want Dak services. Also thought that maybe with Belichick's ego he want to prove that he can win without Brady kinda like Joe Gibbs winning two SBs with 2 different qbs.

Denver would be a good spot for him but would Denver be able to do a deal, would they? I think they have like 42 mil in cap this year. Most of that would theoretically go to Dak if they made that deal so again, would Dak and France do that deal? Denver doesn't have the upside to offer, in terms of money outside of football, a Dallas or NY could so that is a negative. Denver is interesting but honestly, do you see the Cowboys making a deal with Denver for the 9th pick plus whatever else? The question there would be, what can, Denver offer?

As far as the Jets Offense goes, they are just young. They have pieces on the OL and they have WR threats. They need a RB, maybe, and they need a TE but that's eveybody right?

Did you predict JJ would sign with the Cardinals?

Dallas remains best suitors and he will either sign or he tagged again. If he is tagged it will in all likelihood be his last year here

At this point, you'd have to ask if Dak wants to go play for any of those teams...I mean he's in the driver's seat. Cowboys can't really dictate where he goes.
