That was the problem letting Pearson in. Now any wr that has a couple 1000 yard seasons will think he’s getting in.
First, Pearson got in as a senior. Second, in his day, he was as clutch as Swann, who got in many years earlier. Not sure what your comment was intended to imply, but Drew Pearson was a Cowboys hero and well deserving of getting into the HoF.

I just read an article where Dez was saying that he is sure that he is a lock for the HOF because of all the TD's he has caught during his career.

"Nobody put up TD's the way I put up."

His numbers -- 7,506 career receiving yards and 77 total touchdowns -- aren't historically enough to lock him in ... but he is one of the freakiest players to ever play.

Dez tells us what he did in such a short time should be enough to get him in ... but he did admit he's probably not a first-ballot kind of guy at this point.

What you citizens think?

Dez is our Chuck Howley of modern times.
Both were good but not good enough for the HOF.

Three outstanding seasons bracketed by 5 others that were average subpar or subpar. Of course someone will nominate Bryant five years after he stops playing, but his career pales in comparison to a number of WRs mentioned in previous comments. I doubt he ever makes it pass the first review in the process (the annual nominee list pared down to 25 semifinalists).
I do believe he is worthy of the Cowboys Ring of Honor, and will be selected when the time comes.

Kind of in the Terrell Davis camp minus the Super Bowl rings. Dominant player for 3 years, got injured and fell off a cliff. Davis shouldn't have gotten in, at least not for a long time. Dez as great as he was can't see him getting in.

Without Davis, John Elway’s career doesn’t get looked back on anywhere as near as glowingly as it does...

Am I missing something? Jimmy Johnson got into the HOF mostly because of his run in Dallas. A few of these posts are talking about him like he's got no chance. I've got to be missing something.
no I.. I realize he's in the HOF. But tend to agree with you lol..some posters dont seem to know hes already in the hall.

You must be joking. Must be. Never at any point in his career was he a top 5 receiver. Had several really good years but plenty more meh years. No deep playoff success. A malcontent. This guy has zero chance at the hall of fame. Zero.
