Yes, it's either Wright or Lee, not both. Much rather have the better, more durable player in Wright.

Privately, I'm sure a few coaches agree but Lee just won't die ( sarcasm LOL ). His career is at a point where kid gloves a required lol.

How does he not fit? He can play all three LB positions.

He knows the defense inside and out.

This will get done, imo.

This team has a 1st rounder in LVE.

They’re paying Jaylon Smith (2nd round pick) big money.

And they JUST paid Keanu Neal $5 million to play WLB this year.

Are they switching to the 3-4 defense?

Cowboys: "Hey, KJ, will you accept vet minimum with incentives that kick in for FGs made and receiving yardage?"
KJ Wright: "No thanks. I play defense."
Fish: "OMG! Cowboys and KJ Wright are talking!"

Fish has really been pushing this one. I don’t see how he fits? On the field or on the cap. I’d be shocked if anything happened.
He plays all 3 LB positions and is a known leader, which this team needs. Money wise they can do it however it needs to be done. He's not s 10 mil a year type right now

I tend to agree with this. He will probably not be worth his cap hit. Odd situation based on what the Cowboys have been doing so far, unless it’s CHEAP.

If true... I love it anything that gets Jaylon on the sidelines is a plus.

Would have preferred him off the team instead of on the sidelines eating 7.2mil of cap, but I "on the sidelines" is the best we can hope for now.

It seems like Quinn isn’t fond of the current group of linebackers. He’s already kicked Jaylon out to Sam. He doesn’t want LVE inside, meaning Neal and Wright (if he’s signed) would be in the nickel, which teams run most of the time.
