Not sure, but it was more or less done right after the trade down. I think staying in the top 6 or whatever was their goal regardless. Personally I think they take the Alabama WR. The one that won the HeismanHave to check, but did Miami make that trade up before or after Pitts pro day?
I was very Anti-Pitts until i remembered that it seems the Cowboys struggle scoring TDs in Redzone. Dak can always drive right down the field but struggles when close to the end zone. So i looked up 2019 stats, and within 10 yards, Dak was in 27th place in passing stats right behind Dalton on the Bengals. Could be coaching but its something to think about.
If the team is looking solely at 2021, they might pass on Pitts. But that would be extremely foolish. Gallup is gone after this year and Pitts could well be the best player in this draft.
It’s a moot point though, he won’t be there at 10. Not after this pro day.
Look behind Dak and you'll see #21. He should be the one scoring at the amount they are paying him.I was very Anti-Pitts until i remembered that it seems the Cowboys struggle scoring TDs in Redzone. look to the sidelines at boise boy wonder hes not designing nor calling plays to give 21 the best scoring options also look ahead at the OL that was a mess last year.. get over the 21 hate there are far more issues causing 21 to appear in decline. Most is on Moore, period he changed this offense and identity in 21 which coincides and contradictory to what our identity and no coincidence right after Elliott got paid..not EE fault all this happened the last 2 seasons..Look behind Dak and you'll see #21. Dallas and Dak would do fine in the red zone with better play calling. Stop trying to trick people.
Red zone—
Stop forcing the back shoulder fade, unless you have a huge target like Dez.
- RPO
- Run between the tackles with Zeke or outside with Pollard
- Look for TE or follow Cooper as he shakes free at some point.
And never call the F-ing reverse down there again
It’s quite common to do this. Every team who has potential first round picks, often sit out bowl games.Don't forget that Pitts didn't participate in the Cotton Bowl against the Sooners. I believe that it was voluntary on his part, and if so, it is a red flag of sorts. As a teammate, you need to be with your team in big games.
Or the Eagles. They have plenty of draft capital to move up ahead of us. After the beating Howie took last year, I'm thinking that's exactly what they'll do.
I mean it could also be that Dallas does not have great redzone WRs, but has a solid running game so they were always going to lean on that when in 1st and goal situations. Though anything to get people on the Pitts wagon is great because I will pound the table hard for him. He is WR speed (the man ran a 4.44 40 with TERRIBLE form) combined with Gronk hands and the largest catching radius we have seen in 20 years. The man is a beast.

0Hope Im wrong but think Giants move to 9 if he makes it that far.

With QBs expecting go at 1-2-3, the key spot is #4 - currently held by the Falcons. Although TE Hayden had a decent first year there (56 rec, 571 yds, 6 TDs), adding Pitts would keep the passing game at a high level with Calvin Ridley a rising star and Julio Jones declining. But the new HC & GM could prefer to trade down and receive a haul in extra picks.Before. Not sure if they’re targeting Chase or Pitts, but IMHO they’re likely to go 5 and 6 to the Bengals and Dolphins, in no particular order.
Pitts might get at minimum 12 td's for us this year in the red zone as a rookie..and thats worst case scenario. This guy makes you defend every patch of turf on every down. Makes life easier for the oline, Dak and Zeke. Opens up the entire offense even more. It also helps the defense because you then make the opposing offense more predictable. That is to any defenses benefit.
