Pollard and Zeke until 2023 - no reason to spend picks on anybody right now - 6 or 7th round is fine but RB is probably the lowest priority in the draft for me.
They need a 3rd back regardless. If either guy is injured they have nothing behind them.

RB3 is an easy spot to fill and it is a position that falls yearly.
If a guy is there you love the value on day 3 grab him.

You have 10 draft picks. Waiting until a position is barren to add someone is pretty poor roster mgmt.
Lots to suggest drafting an RB round 3-5 every year is the best way to manage that position long term.

Do we keep Zeke for next season ( not this coming season)? If not do we make a move on Sermon in round 2? Zeke makes a ton of money. Sermon is a cheaper version of Zeke imho. It is an interesting take I think. It bears thought...

The only conundrum is with the fans.
I like Sermon, but he is living his draft status based on a few high profile games. And yes, I would not mind they draft him, in the 4th round, if he falls from the 3rd. But not to replace Zeke, but to compliment him and the offense.

There's no way a RB is worth the money Zeke is making.

Weather we keep him or not after this year hopefully the doofuses in the FO learned their lesson with this waste of money.

That lesson is? A RB in the modern age of football is a dime a dozen.
There was no doubt this thread would bring out the haters from under their rocks.

And how have they elevated their teams to success?

Exactly.

Both are big parts of their team, Kamara in NO has been a key part of their team and to the success they have had. Claiming he should not be paid because the team did not win a SB well you could say that about any player, why should Brees get the contract he had? Why should Rodgers get the contract he has? What success.

Yet McCaffrey makes more than Zeke and Kamara makes the same as Zeke.

And those probably aren't great deals either. I mean if we are going to play this game of what other RBs got, let's note that the Rams and Cardinals couldn't run away fast enough from the big deals they gave Gurley and Johnson.

And McCaffery signed that whopping deal in the 2020 preseason and then played 3 games in 2020 hurting his ankle and then his shoulder. Zeke had a major regression this year himself.

The reality is big money deals on TBs rarely get you the return one would think.

There you go calling anybody that has a different opinion "haters".

It's like you just discovered that word and now you can't stop using it. I wonder what your next word will be? I'm thinking "whatabouism". That is a popular word people like using these days, wait till you discover that one.

No, I just use it on the posters like you who hate on ANYTHING the Cowboys do. All the time, every thread and every post. You’ve earned that label by your posts.

I agree they are paid big but you could take a player like what has Joey Bosa done how has he made the Chargers a SB competitive team? he makes a lot more than Zeke. Again there are many big contract across the NFL and vast majority have never been to the SB nor will they ever play in a SB.

Are you kidding? Bosa is an absolute stud. Why do you rate players solely on super bowls? Doesn't make sense.

Many, many a poster here rate players solely on Super Bowls. Just read the Dak threads. It’s all they got so they use it over and over.

Players in the NFL make big money and as I pointed out Zeke is not the only RB making big money. Having said that he needs to play much better than last season to justify his pay. I rate players on their talent I used SB because I was asked "how have they elevated their teams to success?" How has Bosa whom I agree elevated his teams success? he is a great player with a salary of 25 mill avg per year yet what has the team success been?

i thought that was pollards job..hmm

the wildcard is are fans missing KM propensity to pass and not run when he runs the ply calls are drawn up using the 90s Cowboys FB plays?

blame zeke but this is not see issue and pollards eniough to backup an offseive run game that not utlized proplery IMHO..

why draft another RB? manke no sense

also lets state soem facts

hard to RUN ,

with not threat of pass game ie QB carrousel,

with a 3rd string OL

with paying rom behind 2-3 scores

with playig behind the chains with contatc pentied or TOs

let keep it real 2019 zeke looked more then adequate yet you could the transition by Moore to pass happy , hows that on zeke, timing of his deal then KM taking over was more then a coincidence as to Zeke starting to seem les s productive..hes volume back like Emmitt and needs carries , real ones, not the proverbial breadcrumb just call run play play call..design, scheme, surprise well laid out run plays and calls..
