And this right here is the reason why we will never reach a SB. The Fans drink the kool-aid every single off-season. Every. Single. Offseason.

And what do fans rooting for a player have to do with how far we go in the playoffs?

I like the people who say that Dak isn't great. It makes it easy to know who has any credibility and who doesn't.

Stating that Dak is anything other than a top 5-7 QB in the NFL right now is a good way to tell me that you don't know what you're talking about, and don't have an opinion that matters.

running Dak with a healthy OL, probably....more limited to pocket passer, def not. He’s just not nor has he ever been a great pure passer with great accuracy. Considering the league is full of predominantly rubbish QBs right now, Dak has been in the top ten IMO, I’d put him in the top 7.
If they limit his running though....not going to be nearly as good.

Both damn good QB's.

Thanks for the laughs @Rockport

Yeah, Rams had to give up a 1st for the Lions to take him. Jimmy G is packing his bags in SF and will be signing with whoever gives him more than vet min.

You thinking these two are ‘damn’ good speaks volumes as to why you think Dak is great.

Love the way you cherry pick stats to prop your boy Dak up.

Simple comparison.

Romo - 7 years in top 10 in passer rating -2 of those in top 5, 1 as the leader.

Dak - 1 in top 5, 2 in top 10
Dak has not been in the league half the time as Romo. Dak has almost as many playoff wins as Romo in less than half the time. Not tying to argue with you. I am up in the air with Dak. Either way could be considered. Last year was gonna be a big year to see his growth and was cut short.

He is not a great QB . No accomplishments to warrant that description. He is a to 17-12 QB . Great QBs will their team to wins , read defenses and don’t fold in big games or lose to so many bad teams .

Blah blah blah. You’ve said this 1000 times already. Only you and a few here who harbor personal animosity to the guy actually believe it too.

Dak hasn't put together enough back to back season to be considered great, IMO. He is above average, but not great.

Comparing Dak to Romo is like comparing apples to applesauce. Neither could or can be considered elite. The only difference between the two is Dak has time to prove himself.

Just my opinion and opinions vary just like beliefs.

This is plain dumb. Did I miss the memo that Future is King of CZ Football knowledge? It’s really comical to announce stuff like this. I’m glad we have Dak and am a fan but auto putting him in the top 5-7 isn’t a knowledge thing. He’s Top 10.

Are these NFL scouts clueless too?

ESPN's Jeremy Fowler polled over 50 league executives, coaches, scouts and players, who combined to rank Prescott as the ninth-best QB heading into the 2020 season.

"He'll get paid as one of the best, but he's certainly not top five and marginal top 10," the AFC exec said in an article released Wednesday. "That great rookie season set the stage for him to hit another level that he never really was going to hit. The bar got set high, and I don't know if he can reach it. Hasn't thrown it as well since [2016]."

Dak led offense by season:

2016: 26.31 points/game 13-3 record
2017: 22.13 points/game 9-7 record
2018: 21.19 points/game 10-6 record
2019: 27.13 points/game 8-8 record
2020: 33.33 points/game 2-3 record (Dak played in only 4.5 games)

Defensive Points Given Up By Season

2016: 19.13 points/game
2017: 20.75 points/game
2018: 20.25 points/game
2019: 20.06 points/game
2020: 37.56 points/game (based on the 4.5 games Dak played)

So it's interesting how you left out the 2016-2018 seasons just to inflate the offensive points per game to fit your narrative but as you can see the only season to blame the defense was in 2020 and in his career Dak has "led" the offense to an average of 26.02 points/game....which while good isn't the 31.45 points per game your narrative attempts to portray and does not exonerate Dak in any way from the the overall team performance and failure to lift the team to more success.

As I’ve said I support Dak but well done. I don’t get the extreme love or hate. There is a good in between and legit reasons people have issues

Anyone who thinks Dak was better as a rookie than in 2019 is a four-letter-wording idiot.

I bet I’m having more fun watching your ignorance than you are watching my ‘burn’

:muttley::muttley:
oh, and the insults start....usually when one feels they are losing an argument they start insulting to distract from the subject at hand....

so when did you feel like you lost this argument?

In 8 losses in 2019 Dak's offense averaged 17 pts per game.

Was that great?
so you like to compare things in a vaccum. would you compare it to the losses for other QBs? and let me know what the point output is for them?

I love it when fans just put Dak in a vaccum and compare him to their own standards, of which there are 150 different ones on this board alone.

That is just like the original post in this thread using only 21 games of Dak's career (2019-2020) to create a narrative while excluding 2016-2018 and crediting Dak for the points per game while ignoring the rest of the offense.

ahhh, like clock work....you lose an argument and you start insults.....because you can't argue logically any more so you want to move to insults, escalate ...

as they say

"insults are the last resort of people with a crumbling position trying to appear confident"

really insults make you look much less confident in your logic than otherwise.

like I said, when did you feel like you lost this argument?
