That's a massive drop off in talent from Surtain, Horn, Slater.....

I dont move backwards that far

would you take him over Ojulari given the medicals?
Phillips is as risky as taking Farley in my opinion. Could be 1 bad concussion away from being out of the league. Love both players, but with the extra pick might be worth the gamble.

I don’t know how his medicals effect him going forward.

Based on what I’ve seen just on film it’s a no brainer for me.

He’s a much more talented prospect than Ojulari.. Nothing wrong with Ojulari either I just see Phillips being a top 5 kind of talent that’s going at a huge discount.

Good catch, I hadn't read that.
I was touting Newsome a long time ago, think he is an excellent fit for our cover 3 scheme, but he does have an injury history. Really don't think there is much separation between Surtain/Horn and him. At 20, he would be a good pick. Heard recently that the Cowboys medically cleared Farley. Could he also be in consideration?

The risk will be minimized because we can keep him on a rotation and I’m also not super worried about my defensive end taking a lot of head shots.

I think the worry with him would come on his 2nd contract and if he wants to retire.

I just ran a mock draft sim on PFN with this very scenario - Bears trade up for #10. I got back #20, #52 and next year's 3rd rounder.

20. Zaven Collins - LB Tulsa
44. Eric Stokes - CB Georgia
52. Alim McNeill - DT North Carolina State
75. Jamar Johnson - S Indiana
99. Tommy Tremble - TE Notre Dame
115. Quincy Roche - DE Miami (FL)
138. Bobby Brown - DT Texas A&M
179. Robert Hainsey - OG/OT Notre Dame
192. Derrick Barnes - LB Purdue
227. Kene Nwangwu - RB Iowa State
238. Deommodore Lenoir - CB Oregon

2022 CHI 3rd

There is a lot of things teams need to consider regarding Phillips. Dane said he can go anywhere in the top 40.

The trade chart says:

Chicago gives up a 2 & 3 for 10 and both our 4th rd picks.
QB's cost more, I bet we could get a 2&3 or a 3 and a future 1.

Got a different take on it

Chicago gives up K. Mack and the 20th pick to move up to 10th pick in the Draft.

Chicago takes = Justin Fields

Dallas takes = Christian Barmore & receives K. Mack

You aren't getting Mack for a move up as they paid multiple 1st rd picks to get him.

I would take Farley at 20...then use the extra capital and move up from 44 and take Moehrig
