Unless someone unexpected drops or we trade back thinking we’re picking Horn at 10. Think they want someone with attitude and better athlete than Surtain. Regardless I hope they trade 44 and a 3rd round pick to get back in late 1st early second to get another solid player that has dropped - ideally safety/lb or dt. Then with other 3rd I’m picking speed wr to play slot and be punt/kickoff man or solid ol guy.

I have a bad feeling both CBs are going to be gone by 10. In any case, I would not trade up for a DT in this draft class. I would not trade up for a Safety either. There will be Safeties available in round 3. A guy like Tyree Gillespie, could be available a 75. I would not trade up for a LB either, at least not in the 1st round.

I am with you on the speedy WR. I like Anthony Schwartz out of Auburn. He ran a 4.26 40. If they want a return guy, then Avery Williams will be available later on day 3. They seem to like Boise State guys anyway.

This is actually the exact opposite..surtain is clearly the cb they want..it's well reported..everybody is saying it..I bet if ps2 is gone that they don't take horn..they trade down

Disagree. Look their videos posted for both. From what I saw they liked horn better. Plus McCarthy knows Horns dad well.

That’s the problem with this team / staff for years. Not taking the better talent to make people happy
I’m fine with Surtain but I need be aggressive move up from 44 if player is dropping. Like Baremore, Collins, moering etc. I want 2 solid starters on D and will sacrifice a 3rd if needed. You cal still sign veteran free agent after draft too.

You are taking a slot WR with the third round pick?

Where you playing Lamb? Left bench?

You do realize that the video was edited to show what they wanted you to see, right? Without seeing the entire video and discussion, no conclusions can be drawn from it.

Lamb ain’t quick enough for me. I need speed guy. I’m playing 4 wr sets too. Need SPEED

Archer is pretty decent at guessing their pick and he also thinks they will go Horn over Surtain. They love their toolsy players instead of taking the more technically sound guy.

I actually might agree here. They love Surtain too and his video was nice but if you watch Horns and then see the Pitts video where he talks about competing against his buddy Horn and how he faught him all game...I think they lean Horn

this is my thought as well...if I had to lay money on the two...i go with Archer and take Horn...he seems to be clued into the FO

Archer and Broaddus are usually pretty accurate.

Broaddus called the Trysten hill pick the day one of the draft.

Gotta be honest, I am OK with Horn but I think it's a mistake taking him over Surtain.

This could be giving Quinn what he wants as opposed to what the scouts are saying. That hasn't worked out well considering our last couple of "coaches" picks were Hill and Charlton.

The only saving grace for me is that both guys are ranked almost equally on all boards. Horn is typically around 11-15.

Now if we were talking about Stokes or Newsome over Surtain I would worry more.

But they are pretty closely rated you have to trust your gut on the pick

My gut tells me that they like Horn more then Surtain. Forget about the media big boards, Horn is reportedly liked much higher by the NFL Scouts and is worthy of that selection.

I wish that they would just the the safer pick in Surtain. None of their 'projections' ever pan out.
