If Dak wanted to leave the team, then Fields would have been a good replacement. You can't compare Dak vs Fields, he hasn't even seen the field yet. Lmao.

You don’t win championships paying Dak’s like they are elite.

I’d rather go this route and if it doesn’t work out then draft another.

The Dak experiment was foolish and we’ll win nothing.

Eli Manning
Joe Flacco
Colin Kaepernick
Cam Newton
Matt Ryan
Jared Goff
Jimmy G

All of these guys either made or won a Superbowl in the last 10 years, either as very highly paid QBs at the time or subsequently got huge contracts after doing so. Now point out the guy on that list that is clearly superior to the best version of Dak we've seen, then realize Dak is still a couple years away from the start of typical "prime" NFL QB years (29-34 or so).

Hindsight is 20/20 but since Fields was available at 10 does it make overpaying Dak look worse? They could have given Dak the franchise tag and maybe trade him after drafting Fields.
Dak vs Fields. Give me Dak with a TKO in the middle of the second round.

You just listed a lot of QBs who never won a Super Bowl or were on rookie contracts when they went.

A lot of them were first round picks as well.

Nice try though.

the giants trading out when they have Jones and could have had fields says all i need to know..theres no hindsight DC FO made this decsions in real time..we could have had mac or Fields over dak but doesnt mean they were an improvement..

Fields on a cheap rookie deal > Dak on a expensive deal.
Um Fields over Jones why ddnt the giants jump on that?

dak is better then all of them in fact best NFC QB in most opinion sure overpaid like All non eilte qbs are but that reality in the nfl..stop living in the past..thats over hindsight doesnt come into play..

BTW daks new dal is only failure of in the next 4 years we dont get to an NFCCG or SB..lets let that playout..

There isn't ONE quarterback/player in the NFL that isn't "overpaid". Leave well enough alone.

Is this even fair? Dak just got paid a bank. Are we able to ignore what he is costing us and just evaluate based on performance head to head? Justin has never faced NFL-level competition. Is this really an apples-to-apples comparison? Justin just got picked 11th overall in the 1st rd of this year's draft by the Bears. Dak wasn't picked until the 4th rd of his draft year. What are we doing here? I ask again, is this even fair? You know who I pick.

I guess we'll find out in a few years. Fields fell for a reason and we'll see if it was warranted.
