Ok. You say character issues. Outside of him refusing to practice at LSU, because he knew he was going to transfer, what other character issues are there? I ask because I have no problem with him refusing to play for a team that would give him a chance to start. So give me another example, if you please.

Read some scouting reports.....

"....had run-ins with his collegiate coaches. Joseph leaves Kentucky after transferring from LSU due to those issues (alleged confrontations with coaches)....."

  • Highly inexperienced with more reps needed for development.
  • Suspended for LSU bowl game at end of 2018 season.
  • Completely unnecessary personal fouls against Auburn and Florida.
  • Feet are a little jittery and uncertain from press.
  • Tall backpedal with a hitch when opening to sprint.
  • Gives in way too quickly to route fakes.
  • Doesn't find the football near the goal line.
  • Fails to read receiver and phase the route.
  • Gives away too much separation to quality route runners.

Can we stop being sensationalists and speculating without any facts just because some posters don’t like his demeanor? If he does something worrisome then we can worry, until then let’s not assume that routine things are signs of doom. Haven’t seen anyone be this scrutinized this quickly in a while.

The click seeking 24/7 news cycle is a cancer on society. It’s June so they are in overdrive.

Thats not a logical argument. Gregory has proven unreliable as a pro, while with Joseph people were just assuming things with no factual basis. You can’t logically condemn Joseph because of Randy Gregory’s actions.

That’s not to say people should blindly assume everything is always good and right. It’s natural to have some concern when a player has a past that shows some problems. But it’s entirely unfair for people to assume things as fact that they have no knowledge of. Fairness means learning the facts before reaching conclusions

:clap:It happens a lot here:clap:

I googled and read every article that I found and in no article did it give me a true explanation of what his character issues are, not one. So maybe you or anyone else can help me because I can’t find it. The only thing I see is that he was suspended for violating teams rules and he decided to transfer after that incident. I’m wondering what was the incident, but either so the team didn’t kick him off he left on his in accord. The only thing I keep hearing and reading is that he likes and performs rap musics. REALLY? The big bad rapper.

But yet I haven’t heard anything since draft day about Josh Ball, nothing! The white player with eleven incidents of domestic violence, yes ELEVEN, can quietly go about his business but the young black rapper has to constantly defend himself against hidden and unknown character concerns. Whatever!

Whatever Kelvin did it happened almost two years ago, he is now nineteen years old meaning he was only seventeen or eighteen when he did whatever it was. A child making a bad decision, that’s never happened before.

Yes Mountain he deserves a chance to have people just “let it go” has they have with Ball.
They havent forgotten about Ball, its still early, they just havent gotten to him yet.

Helman is from LSU and asked around about him. He was told that he was a good guy. McClay said he transferred because LSU wanted him to play safety. You can look it up on ktck podcast. I think it was May 5 and is labeled McClay.

yup SM chums the water with vague story's and the sharks come to feed as if it were their last dinner..

then look at the backtrackers still trying to make excuses for their bad kneejerk behavior,...not apologizing , making excuses for for their own bad character..hmmm

we call that hypocrisy where i come from..

ripping man for missing practice before finding out why, as if they never called in sick to work , and when they have egg on their faces they cant seem to admit they were wrong..
There should be a list of names, I wonder if Im on it... probably a lot more of the "faithful" are probably on it more so than we would expect I believe.

Wow that is one very targeted non positive evaluation.
No wonder he was the 3rd highest rated DB, I thought it was just the Farley injury... stupid me.

I don't think it's wrong to believe a guy with a history of character issues does in fact have character issues.

Some of ya'll thought every year single year was the year that Randy Gregory had finally got it together. He NEVER got it together. It took a rule change for him to have a career. Some guys just don't change from the person that had "character concerns" pre draft.

I'm glad that it's nothing major, but Joseph didn't deserve the benefit of the doubt yet. His issues take time to develop trust. I don't care if he does have a star on his helmet.

I think anyone and everyone deserves the benefit of our doubts. Our whole justice system is built on this precept. If we all had the attitude like yours this organization would have never had a Charles Haley who arguably cemented our SB defenses of the early/mid 1990's.

You just joined in February. How do you know what we’ve been thinking for years?

Did you have an account here prior to this one? You wouldn’t have happened to call yourself Aria in that account, would you?
The fan base is more then just this place. I generalized.

I dunno who Aria is. I came from Reddit, because I thought this place was more reasonable.

He has upsides. Most reports note he has a lot of upside.....

Strengths:
  • Talented cover corner
  • Excellent skill set; fast, big, athletic
  • Short-area burst
  • Eats up ground in a blur
  • Strong and tough
  • Physical jam to reroute
  • Tough press-man corner
  • Twitchy athlete
  • Can play off-man coverage
  • Good run defender
  • Willing to hit and tackle
  • Good ball skills; plays the ball well
  • Nice hands
  • High points the ball well
  • Confident, cocky corner mentality
  • Lots of upside

Biggest upside at the moment is he is willing to hit and tackle I'd suppose.

The way you suggested all of us gave an undeserving randy gregory the benefit of the doubt, you set yourself up for ridicule man! That's like saying, "you guys proved y'all are poor judges of character, you should be less sympathetic like me"...

:facepalm::eek::omg:
No, I just suggest that a lot of you are Star Blind.

Cowboy fans tend to look past red flags as long as you have a star on your helmet.
