I just shared one of the things I found and posted. People thought I was trolling, but it was clear that I was serious that I liked him. I also posted that I saw some Richard Sherman in him based on his size and what I had been watching on YouTube. Given who our DC is, I posted that it made sense to me why we took him where we did, and thus, combining all of that, I liked the pick.

Why are you telling me this?

And it was accurate
Better than most but he was a day 2 pick and according to Cavanaugh he would not have made it to their next pick. He has said that there were other teams that liked him early in the fourth. I also don't get the dime packages bit. He's an outside CB only, not a fit for the slot.

Definitely, we need some gems that we didn't think would contribute to be players. That will speed up the rebuilding process of the defense.

If we come out of training camp with Diggs, Joseph and Wright as starting caliber CBs, our defense has massively improved over last year. If Wright could be our Leon Lett then we made serious strides.

Wright is a project. At this point he is probably the 5th or 6th corner on the depth chart.

I never panned the Wright pick and I am far from a blind homer.

I am probably one of the few who liked the pick in the vote thread poll for him.

The day the pick was made, no one liked the pick. Blind homers dont count.

Now definitely a day or two later, when people had a chance to figure out who he was and listen to the FO try to convince them there was a large segment that now started changing their minds. You can even go on any 2021 NFL draft CB rankings and Wright wont be on there. I found several that went 25 deep and Wright was nowhere to be found.

Wright is a project. He will be the 5th or 6th corner on the roster.

THAT being said we can now see with WHY the Cowboys had him ranked higher than most other people. He was more of a scheme fit unique to Quinns scheme.

To me Wright would be a great project taken a few rounds later. Cowboys passed on plenty of talent and better prospects at CB when they took Wright.

Because I'm proving that it wasn't just blind homerism. I actually had a reason to like the pick.

Yah, but being a blind homer, that's what you do. Search for anything positive as to why you like the pick.

And what does liking the pick even mean? Its funny to see all these people now try to claim they liked the pick with a few good reviews in shorts.

He fits what our New coach likes in a CB and has nice speed for being kinda tall for a CB

There is a lot of stupid in this thread taking a poll of who likes the Wright pick:
https://cowboyszone.com/threads/are...-cb-nahshon-wright-with-the-99th-pick.477780/

“Passed on plenty of talent and better prospects?” Everyone is guessing at talent at that point in the draft. Not a lot of separation between the players.

As in, I thought it was a good pick *shrugs*. If you don't believe me, like I said, you can go check the thread.

In all seriousness...what are the chances a guy like Nashon Wright turns out to be a good pick? He was barely rated by MOST guys that are paid to watch tape and rank college prospects. I believe after all the dust settles, it is a Quinn pick because of the guys' measurables. Quinn likes the characteristics he has. On one hand I think it is a shot in the dark and on the other, I am VERY glad our new D coordinator is getting some autonomy. There is a reason he has been successful as a DC. He's going to stick with what works for him. I am on record thinking the picked sucked. I hope I am wrong.

I'd say Furball got exposed for the blind homer that he is.

As far as telling me he liked the pick ive told him several time I believe him. I guess he is too dumb to realize it and keeps trying to convince me?

Are you to dumb to read also?

Here is ONE of the times making it obvious: You said why you liked the pick. Because the Cowboys drafted him.
