I watched the movie "I Care A Lot". I thought it was going to be something else. It started out with a really good idea but went in the wrong direction I think.

Deep undercover FBI agent played by Sean Bean. Just started it and it’s pretty interesting. Rated 7.5 on IMDB, aired on TNT. Seems like good shows get cancelled early but a lot of trash stays around for years.
I liked that series, shame it got cancelled so early.

Mare of Easttown 8/10 and Kate Winslet was excellent in her part. This is a brooding dark murder mystery with humor placed here and there in the form of the relationship she has with her mother, Jean Smart, who was also excellent. Between the set selection and camera work, really well done. Warning: if you are going to watch it, get yourself a six pack of Rolling Rock because I have never seen better product placement in any film, I was craving one halfway through it.

They Want Me Dead is pretty good and Angelina Jolie was good in it if you can buy her as a smoke jumper......with a Hollywood make up artist attached to her. Hell, women going out on the prowl don't get a make up job that good and she's fighting fires. "I don't know if it's you, darlin', or this raging forest fire around me but I am hot"!

Apparently Jupiter's Legacy has been cancelled
During it's run? They're not even completing the season?

This is why I don't start anything new until it's been around awhile and I see what they're going to do with it. I never watched it but I still have friends that are pissed about "The Mayor". Many people were, to the point of pressing the producers to give it an ending. They tried to work out some 2 hour wrap it up with Kelsey Grammar but he wasn't buying after they cancelled him.

The only time I ever pulled a Trekkie in a campaign to save a TV show was with "Hill St. Blues" and I actually got a response from NBC that due to the overwhelming letter writing campaign, we had saved the show for another season. That was the best thing I'd ever seen on TV, along with St; Elsewhere. The birth of the ensemble acting shows.

BTW, anyone seen if the TV shows Hill St. Blues, St; Elsewhere, ER or LA Law are available to watch on any streamers? NYPD Blue was on one of them for awhile.

I like Longmire a lot, but I agree the final episode was kind of lame.
The main thing that bothered me is, what the Hell qualifies her to be sheriff?...and after all he's been through, why would he want his daughter to constantly be in that kind of danger?

With Netflix they put a season out all at once. So it had o e season and was not picked up fof another.

I watched two episodes and that was enough to be annoyed with the cliche young son never being able to live up to unattainable expectations of an unreasonable father. Not only cliche but they put it on so thick in two episodes it already got old.

Finished that this weekend. I really enjoyed it. I thought it was well done.

WandaVision. The Falcon and The Winter Soldier. Now Loki. All three television series tied flawlessly into the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Less than a day away. Can't wait. Meanwhile...

Time Warner/DC should be ashamed by the Disney/Marvel's mega comic book adaptation success. Geniuses on one side created The Avengers, Avengers: Age of Ultron, Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame. Geniuses on the opposite side boxed Zack Snyder's Justice League and and instead released... whatever the <expletive> that was... in 2017.

Embarrassing.

Whatever. Almost time for Loki.

I watched the first episode of Loki. I'm enjoying it and the 1970s sci-fi aesthetic.
Speaking of the 70s, it's cool to finally find out what happened to D.B. Cooper...

If the first episode is indicative of how the show is going to be, this'll be the best Marvel series yet.

Just finished watching "Wu Assassins" on Netflix. I give it a 5 or 6 out of 10. Not a bad concept for a story, but the action scenes were not on par with other series in this genre. For example, "Into the Badlands" had much better fighting scenes, and better characters. The last episode was disappointing. There is a minor cliffhanger ending, or at least a set up for a 2nd season, but I don't know if it has been renewed. I preferred Badlands, The Witcher, and even Cursed over Wu Assassins.

Agreed it was alright, but I also had high expectations since he was such a bad@$# in The Raid movies.

Anyone watching "War of the Worlds" on EPIX? It's an updated version of the original and it looks like the "Martians" are not like in the book and original movie. The show is really well done I think. They keep the suspense up pretty much all the time so you get a good sense of what it would be like to be constantly under the threat of death - at least as much as you can get that feeling from a TV program. But in season 2 we learn more about the "aliens" and I get the feeling this is heading in a bad direction. If I am right then the show will wind up with a disappointing ending, and frankly the entire story will make no sense. Does anyone else get the same feeling?
