Why does all that bother you so much? Are you going to cease to exist if Dak isn't constantly slobbered on to your liking? Do you stand to gain something significantly financial if Dak somehow reaches elite status?

The reality of the entire situation is none of it matters and has no effect on yours or any other CZ members life. Once football season starts and I'm faced with watching Dak play or spending the day with my granddaughter, I guarantee I won't care if Dak threw for 900 yards and 12 TD's. It won't matter - seeing the smile on my granddaughters face will be so much better.

Priorities man..... You defend Dak like a religious zealot defending Jesus. Why?
And yet here you are posting about it.

You just said you care more about spending time with your GD than watching the games there genius.

I know nothing of your life and I dont care to.

Did you reread my post and figure out I WASNT defending Dak but actually agreeing with most of the negative videos?

Nah, your too busy to actually pay attention right?

And you have your head so far up Dak's butt you don't realize he doesn't care what fans like you or me think about him or how much we defend or criticize him. Your typical MO is to defend him like you're his mother or something. So now the bashing turns to I can't read, that you weren't really defending him when 99% of the time that is exactly what you do.

Listening to Simms saying Dak isn't a top 5 quarterback is like ESPN having Stafford ranked in the top 10 above Dak. o_O

Maybe, JUST MAYBE they would like for him to actually be consistent before they pole vault him into the top tier of QBs?

Dak has ONE season over 4,000 yards passing and one season at 30 TDs. Why should he be up there with guys that do it every year? Because he has a star on his helmet?

Let Dak prove it on the field before you crown him. These guys are right until Dak proves them wrong.
....and those stats are from heating it up late 3rd qtr and 4th......just think if he would start producing the other 2/3of the game....

And there's your other MO.... resorting to name calling and tossing insults. I notice that you aren't denying anything I said.

Get lost troll! Stop trying to ruin every thread and the board with your pathetic drivel. :yourock:

Dak is not a top 5 QB. True statement. But is this really a problem if he is ranked 7th or 8th? He is still a good QB.

Dak is not a blank check guy. Dak is not a $40 million QB. I agree with these statements too, at least I did until the Cowboys gave him $40 million which for all intents and purposes was a blank check. All that matters in this case is what Jerry thinks and he expressed his thoughts by writing that big check.

If the Cowboys were concerned Dak was not the guy, I understand that too. I was in the same place after that Eagles game in 2019. Dak started the year like a house on fire but mid-year he tailed off in a big way the bottom was the Eagles game. That gave me pause as well.

And finally, the frustration. Sure. The Cowboys were frustrated because Dak was determined not to sign a contract until the last minute hoping to squeeze Dallas until they were forced to pay him or let him go. Damn frustrating. I posted numerous times I would have let him go if he wanted $40 million. I would have franchised him and traded him to the highest bidder outside the NFC East. I like Dak, but the GM has to show some responsibility when he hands out contracts. If there was no CAP then give Dak his $40 million, but overpaying players hurts the team and the Cowboys had already overpaid Zeke, DLaw, Amari and Jaylon.

All this is moot, of course. Dak is signed for 4 more years. If he gets paid $165 million over that period and wins nothing then the criticisms will begin again, as they should.

100% agree.....................I actually agree with pretty much every video there.

Do you see the irony in you spending time(shows a level of caring)attacking another poster for what you say is caring too much about the perceived treatment of Dak?

You'd never laugh in anyone's face, Roy. That's why you do it on a message board.

I give Dak 100% on leadership, the team loves him. Performance, well not so good at times. We will see if he has matured into a $40 mil QB this year, no excuses with the offensive weapons this team has.

I'd rather Dak be respected instead of loved. That's how winners are made.

The players loved Garrett too, because he never held them accountable for anything, but they didn't respect him and it showed.

In a league where 4,000 is basically expected of even mid level QB's in a 16 game season. I mean 12 guys did it last year including guys that are labeled JAG's (Ryan, Cousins, Rivers & Carr) and even a ROOKIE Herbert. Murray & Goff were less than 50 yards from cracking it.

Yet according to some, he's a virtual lock to eclipse 6,000.

Mindblowing.
