I don’t know if this has been said on here yet, but because Hooker is in the COVID protocol (5 day quarantine), next Wednesday is likely when any signing will be announced.

Hooker having not been with a team means that whoever does sign him to a contract, will have to wait the mandatory 5 days before they can let him around his new team mates.

Jeff Heath ran a 4.40 coming out of college. He frequently showed his speed on the field, hence when he caught the Raiders' QB Carr at the goal line and forced him to lose the ball into the end zone for a touchback a few years back.

Malik Hooker never timed better than a mid 4.5s because he's always been injured. Hard to say he can cover better in a single Safety high Cover 3 than a faster Jeff Heath.
