The Green Bay Packers since Favre or the Dallas Cowboys since Jimmy Johnson?
Some argue to only have two Super Bowl victories between Favre and Rodgers is highly egregious and is a waste of great quarterbacking talent. Rodgers has lost three NFC Championship games, one at home and one at Seattle, which the Packers had in the bag. Favre loss one to the Cowboys (which he should have) and to the Giants at Lambeau Field, in which they also had a huge advantage.
Others argue that the Cowboys should have not only won three Super Bowls, but would have won at least five had Jimmy Johnson stayed as coach. Add to that the fact that the Cowboys twice had home field advantage throughout the playoffs in 2008 and 2017 and blew it, losing to the Giants and the Packers, and, for the most part, wasted the talents of Tyron Smith, Zach Martin, Travis Frederic, Tony Romo, Terrell Owens, and DeMarcus Ware, who had to join Denver to wear a ring.
So of the two franchises, which do you think squandered the most talent and opportunities over the past 30 years?
If only Jimmy was there in 94, im sure we wouldnt have turned the ball over 20 times in the 1st quarter.... there is no doubt in my mind......... smhHard call.
If Jimmy had stayed, think we would have won 4 straight super bowls.
That's a hard pill to swallow.
IMO, the topic is funny. Brees is an all time great. He has 1 ring.Without a doubt the Packers. I hear all the time that Rodgers is one of the greatest QBs to ever play and is only behind Brady as the best QB of our generation. But yet he has only has "1" Super Bowl win to show for it. His supporters on here will say "Look at his stats" while they say Dak's stats don't mean anything.
I was gonna read the rezt of the thread, but... I am adequately fulfilled with this comment.Cowboys. How we didn’t win a SB with Quincy Carter is mind boggling……

what a load of GARBAGE.Your comment is proof positive that its not all about the QB. If it was Rogers wins more than one SB. Those that understand football understand this point clearly.
Green Bay wasted in the most opportunity. They have Rogers - which is one of the great QBs in the league.
All they needed to do was build a defense and somewhat of a running game. They relied too much on Rogers and he couldn't get the team over the hump.
Dallas never was in a position to succeed during this time frame. Sure they had Romo. But there was really nothing about this team that stood it than Romo passing the ball. We will have issues till this day.
Bad GM, bad coaching, overrated players, and a suspect defense has plagued us for more than 2 decades.
We are slowly adapting to building a championship. But some of those issues still linger till now. Hopefully, a changing of the guard to MM will fix alot of these issues.
Winning Super Bowls is damn hard.
Wasnt bik Mike the coach of the Packers when you said, "All they needed to do was build a defense and somewhat of a running game?" yet they didnt do it.
Then you turn around and say, now that big Mike is in Dallas, hopefully he can fix the lingering issues we have in Dallas??????? lol
Do you think the packers knew they needed a better defense and just said ****.... we are gonna role with what we got. Did they stop drafting players during Rodgers tenure with Mike?
Compare the defenses Brady and Rodgers have had throughout their careers, especially in the play offs. I'm not claiming Rodgers is better than Brady but to belittle Rodgers because he has only won 1 Superbowl is ridiculous. I guess you think Nick Foles is better than Dan Marino?
Rodgers gets blamed for losing games in OT when he didn't even have an opportunity to throw the blooming ball! His performance vs Arizona pretty much sums up Green Bay over the last 10 years. Rodgers made two exceptional, worldly throws to garbage can receivers to even get the team to OT only for the defense to allow Carson Palmer, who was all over the place by that point, make a spawny little pass into a game winnner.
Please don't compare Dak Prescott to Aaron Rodgers. It's just embarrassing. If Rodgers played for the Cowboys in 2016 we reach the Superbowl at the very least and likely win it given the strength of the offensive line and all the weapons as Rodgers could have won shootouts, unlike Prescott. The Cowboys defense wasn't as bad as people made out in 2016. It had a poor first half but they played very well in the 2nd half. Unfortunately the offense faltered in the first half.
Dallas
It is incredibly difficult to win a Super Bowl, even for teams with GOAT level QBs. Manning only got 2, Brees only 1, Marino has 0, Kelly has 0… point is the Packers winning one with each franchise QB is still admirable.
Dallas wasting the careers of Romo, Witten, Bryant, and Ware with mediocre coaching and refusal to address positions of need is far worse than GB only winning one each with Favre and Rodgers.
i'd say green bay.
rodgers has blown 4 other chances to get back to the super bowl.
lol that is a tough one!The Green Bay Packers since Favre or the Dallas Cowboys since Jimmy Johnson?

could not that mean that dallas has been better at squandering??The Cowboys haven't even played in a conference championship game for 25 years, homer.
You know it!If only Jimmy was there in 94, im sure we wouldnt have turned the ball over 20 times in the 1st quarter.... there is no doubt in my mind......... smh
